All I have to say about this amp is that the looks alone got me hooked. Add that to the fact that its a Hot Rod Deluxe which is played by countless great Indy bands such as Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and TV on the Radio. The Drive is worthless but the clean is what I use it for. Goes great with pedals but the volume is too touchy. An attenuator is almost a must have. Get it now because in ten years when everyone is looking for 1 of only 800 made you'll be glad you did.
First of all I love the way it looks. White tolex and white chicken head knobs, great looking grill cloth. But that alone doesn't quite justify the additional $100 for this limited edition amp. This is where old school meets high tech. The old school is the tube section with a total of 5 tubes for 40 awesome watts of tube power. The high tech part is the driver with neodimium magnet it is made by Celestion. This feature also cuts about 5 lbs from total weight. I don't know why they havent expressed this more as a feature of this amp. Sounds great, far better than the stock Emminance driver in my opinion. Great amp!
