Great, affordable bass

By Elwood

from Wisconsin

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

Since I play in a praise band, I play a lot of whole notes and often need to sustain notes over a couple of measures. I chose this bass in part because it was designed for longer sustain. It also feels great, is quite forgiving with finger placement on the fretboard, is easy to play and I like the variety of tones it produces. I love the design and sunburst color, and it's a real joy to play. I plan to keep it for many years to come.

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

I just got the Fender Highway One Jazz bass and i'm impressed. The pick-ups deliver a great sound, and the nitro finnish is to die for. I have played many other basses, inclueding the Fender Amer. Series J Bass, and this did it for me. This bass is deffinetly wort getting.

Godly Bass

By Apollo Pechy

from Ohio

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

Well, I have been a professional bass player for the last 10 years, I haven't seen a bass quite like this one. It ease of use is great for a pro or an amatuer. I play all types of music and this fits in anywhere, it is extremely good for Jazz and Blues. But I found out that it is also really great for punk and ska. This is a must have bass for any bass player young or old. Keep rockin'!

This Bass is solid as a rock. It has a matte finish which does not show fingerprints. It sounds, looks, and feels great. I like it better than the Geddy.

good axe

By Jay Clark

from Lafayette GA

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

A good instrument, however I don't think it is the quality of my 76 american jazz. The tuners look cheap and not the quality as on my 76. Sounds good but the neck work is a little rough compared to the standard american jazz. For the price it is well worth it.

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

Ive had this bass for maybe 2 years now and all around its very solid. Sounds great, great feel, fast neck. watch the bridge though, make sure its solid and doesnt buzz, watch the E string also, a little flabby at times. overall a great bass.

Better Bass after Seymour Duncan Passives installed

By Frank Batista

from Ontario Canada

Comments about Fender Highway One Jazz Bass:

I've been a 1 bass Fender owner for many years and love my 1967 Precision. I decided to pick up a new Jazz Nitro Black finish and was please with the appearance and feel of the bass. However, I noticed a dramatic volume difference when I played the D string. Finally figured out the neck pick up magnet for the D string did not work at all. I took the bass to local Luthier and he's never seen a pick up do that. I changed the set to Quarter lb Seymour Duncan and this machine just screams and oozes tone and punch through my Eden Rig. The C shape neck is very comfortable and fast. Still surprised Fender did not catch the Quality issue with the pick up before it left the plant.
