Players Bass

By Ed Bray

from Mechanicsville, VA

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

I have admired this bass for sometime and finally bought one today. I have played many 70ۡs era Jazzes in the past. Fender nailed this one. It has the look and feel of the old school jazz. It is a great tribute to an incredibly musician and bassist. I can barely stand to put it down.

Very Cool Bass; Highly Prized Instrument, well worth the investment. From play ability, looks, sound, build quality ,and balance, This bass has it all in one package. I checked out about 50+ reviews on this bass before I bought mine, so don't just read mine, NO disapointments here, just pure bliss...Top shelf bass!

Great Bass

By Wince

from Orlando, FL

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

I purchased my Geddy Lee three years ago. I play it through an Eden rig. It is a great bass guitar. While I have five bass guitars, this is my primary bass. I love the sound of a jazz bass (I have two), this one is the best of the best. The action is high from the factory set up. Spend the extra money to have it set up by a good luthier. But if you do you can play this bass for hours on end at a gig. For the money, nothing else will beat this bass.

The Ultimate Bass

By Kyle Rock

from Bedford, Ohio

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

This bass has so much power and vibe into it. Just to start it has his signature on the head, the neck is probably the smoothest neck i have ever played on, it is so easy to shred on this bass becuse of this neck and feel of it. The Vintage 70's Pickups Sound Tremendous. With the addition of the Custom Bridge that geddy put on himself in the 70's when he found this bass in a pawn shop, the bass sounds even better. The bass doesn't really detune while youre playing it stays tuned which is really good for my style. The Maple Neck looks beautiful with the black inlays. This is probably the greatest thing Japan has to offer for us. So if you love to play Rush or maybe you dont really like Rush too much then either way this is the bass you should DEF buy. it is well worth every Penny.

geddy lee

By kevin

from NRH, Tx

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

This bass is a must have. The awesome power on this axe is amazing. It's not whether you like geddy lee and rush or not, it's if you want an exceptional bass guitar for a decent price. The neck is slimmed down and feels so smooth making it a very comfortable instrument. I highly recommend this because i have had mine for 4 months now and I don't want to buy any other bass (except for a ricky, but that will be a while). So if your thinking of buying it, do it because you won't be let down.

Geddy Rocks and so does his bass!

By espirimentalbassnessman

from Belleville, IL

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

This bass is definatley the best Fender and probably the best bass over all in production today. It combines incledible tone into an extremely comfortable bass. It has the fastest neck I've ever played and makes even the hardest Rush lines seem like beginner stuff.

Mean, Mean Stride

By David Timmons

from Portage IN

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

By far the best bass I own. Massive sustain, deep, and wide. This bass is full of MOJO! It gets complements everywhere I go. I play in a band with three guitarists, two electric, and one accoustic with p-up. They always tell me Im too loud, until we start playing together, then they always tell me how beautifully the tone of this bass blends with everyone.Every aspect of this bass screams perfection...great looks, mulitonal, and a great factory set up.

Power to the Geddy

By Old Bassman

from Festus, MO

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

Maybe it's just me but I preferred the Geddy over any of the other basses. The quality of the finish and hardware are excellent. This things stays in tune...I love it. The neck on the GL is thinner than what I'm used to but after playing it for a while I got used to it and I wish I would have tried this earlier. I had a couple Ibanez basses, the BTB400 but this Geddy blows them away. I put a set of "flats" on it and it sounds really good with them. Deep, warm, mellow with the neck pu turned up. A growl with the bridge pu. Before you decide on a bass try the Geddy. I'm glad I did!

Geddy Lee, enough said!

By Dave

from Maine

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

If you haven't bought this bass yet, what are you waiting for? Not only is it built to Geddy's specs, he put his name on it and he plays it in the studio and on stage. Is there really need for any more questions here? A lot of artists put their name on instruments, but few actually play the version that is marketed to us average joes. From earth rumbling lows to crisp clean highs and everything in between the GL Jazz covers it all. So if the mere sight or feel of this lady doesn't get you going, just listen to her sing. Do yourself a favor, buy the GL Jazz and you will be thanking yourself for many years to come.

Love at first feel

By Art

from Ocean City NJ

Comments about Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass:

Finally found a bass I like as much as the '68 P-bass I sold 5 years ago. I like everything about this bass, nice thin comfortable neck, basass bridge and looks great too. My brother talked me out of buying anything but a Fender and he was absolutely right. If you play this bass you won't settle for any other, its that good.
