This amp can make quite a bit of noise compared to some other 10 watts, and it has a very nice sound to it, on clean it can give you a great sound for blues and some quiet practising, and the o.d, or overdrive channel is great for rock. I would recomment this to a beginner looking for a great sound, or someone who just wants to practise at home. Great amp.

I love fender, usually they make amazing products, unfortunately this is not one of them. I got this as a practice amp for when I go play with my band, it was very portable, reasonably light. The issue is that the tone is completely unmanageable, there are two settings and neither of them seemed to change the tone for the better. I have looked up guides to help me set up this amp, but there are none. This is not a good beginner amp. And I, sadly, would recommend a cheap Line 6 Spider 3 15W over this any day.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

It is a really fun AMP! It is not too heavy. I can carry the amp in one hand and my guitar case in the other hand. one thing about the amp is it has a headphone plug in. And it`s sort of big for a cheap price!!

Starter for sure

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

This is def. a starter amp. I've had it for a year, and it stopped working. It has a great clean sound, but to me it needs some pedals for distortion. You get what you pay for in this amp. I'd buy it, if you just need something to mess around on. Another good thing is that it gets louder then a drum set. So i guess it's a decent jam session amp(which is what I usually use it for)

Big sound in a small package

By TONY

from Wittmann, AZ

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

I'm new to guitar playing so I'll keep this real simple. If you're starting out, like me, and want a nice little amp to go with your new electric guitar...this one will more than suffice. I don't expect to ever play on a big stage. In fact I doubt I'll ever play much outside my house. What I needed was something to get my Fender to sing...and the Frontman 10G does just that. You don't have to worry about waking the neighbors, unless you play late at night with this thing perched outside your window, but it will do what needs to be done and it won't cost you an arm and a leg in the process. Plug it in, turn it on, plug in your guitar and play away!

front-bland

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Purchased one of these as a gift. Tried it out to make sure it worked. The amp is attractive and well constructed. Nice Fencer look. However the sound and tone quality are poor. A very bland sound. Lots of "gain" and enough to blow out your eardrums in power. I compared it to a 10 chepo no name brand and it could not hold up. I guess is OK for a starter but overall dissapointed. I would not purchase another. Typically I love Fender products.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

I have a fender deluxe hot rod tube amp, and I bought one of there's as a practice amp to have when I wanna go down stairs or just to mess around on. Fender definately did a great job on it I love it for the price it's very clear and fun. If you think you want one just get it it's great. Very vintage not great for metal but everything else works fine.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Got this in a Squier pack I bought. Replaced it almost immediately, but in the week I had it, it was definitely fun. I am no stranger to small, portable amps, or big beefy Marshalls. Unfortunately for me, it tipped over within about an hour of using it, and I broke the cable that came with the rest of the kit. Luckily I had a spare, and so I got to jam on. Overall, I really enjoyed the clean tones, and the overdriven sound for it is VERY clear for its size. Won't have much of a problem keeping up with bigger amps as it can be pretty darn loud. Only had it on about 2 the entire time I used it. The knob goes to 10.
