DO NOT BUY THIS GUITAR AND ITS BAD PARTS

By SKID FAN

Comments about Fender Starcaster Strat Rock Band Electric Guitar and Mini Deluxe Amp Value Pack:

I bought this guitar about a year ago. Bad idea. I had it about 6 months and the whammy bar broke off. I was just playing a chord and SNAP. Now i have to spend even more money because i bought this CHEAP guitar made of CHEAP parts. If you want to learn to play and need a good guitar, go and check out the Yamaha value packs. Yamaha builds quality instruments at good prices. So do yourself a favor, DON'T BUY THIS GUITAR!!!!

Good for Beginners

By Danielle

from Illinois

Comments about Fender Starcaster Strat Rock Band Electric Guitar and Mini Deluxe Amp Value Pack:

I got this guitar for Christmas last year, and it's held up pretty good so far. As a very beginner, and with the Hal Leonard Guitar Method books, I was able to teach myself much of the guitar. It's decent quality if you're just starting out, dirt cheap in the guitar world. I'd say buy it if you have absolutely no experience, and you want to get use to playing. If you buy a Yamaha straight off the bat, and don't like it, you're kinda screwed. At least it's not too much money wasted here. The only issue I've had is the metal is very cheap. My Whammy got stuck ontop of the saddles when I was replacing a string, and both pieces ended up pretty scratched. It has a nice feel, but after you've learned I'd move up to another guitar.
