Worth a Shot

By Bradley Ovitt

from Portland, OR

I bought one of these when they were fairly new and mostly back-ordered on a whim because I like to try new things and be sure I'm not missing anything that could help me in my endless pursuit of MY perfect tone. Not quite worth the money I paid but definitely worth the value of the material. I had it on my standard P-Bass for awhile and sort of forgot about it untill people kept asking what that chuck of metal was hanging from my bass. I evens out a little of the weight distribution for a little better sustain. I took it off and that is when I noticed the difference. It's cool, for the right player and the right instrument, and neat just to have in your bag of odds and ends. I say buy it if your not sure. Maybe tungsten would have been a little more effective?
