Overview

With their years of building experience, the Fender Custom Shop craftsmen created a "dream list" of specs, and this customized '60s-style Stratocaster guitar-designed by Master Builder Greg Fessler-has it all. Special features include '69 pickups that provide the brilliant voicing made famous by the guitar heroes of the era, "Custom Shop Designed" neckplate, custom two-point vintage bridge (never before offered outside the Custom Shop!) and a flatter, more modern 12" fingerboard radius.

It also features an alder body and a maple C-shape neck with rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets for easy bending. Aged knobs and switch tip create a mellow retro look.

Includes a gig bag.

had to have one. Awesome.

Comments about Fender FSR Stratocaster Classic Player 60's Electric Guitar:

I saw this in person on the first day they were available, and had to take it home. Awesome. Normally I prefer natural or transparent finishes, but this was a must have. I have 3 other strats but this is amazing, great tone, great neck and the color may be over the top a bit but put it on the stage in the lights, or in the sunlight and this is just plain cool. Needs no mods or setup it is great as is. Seemed like a lot for a "MIM" strat but this is way more, as I was looking at a USA Nitro strat, but bought this with no regrets. My previous reviews may have been a bit "nit picky" and gotten some snide replys, but nobody should argue this one. If you can find one buy it, I think these will be somewhat rare.Owned it about a month now and still love it, own 12 guitars and it is top of the list.

Comments about Fender FSR Stratocaster Classic Player 60's Electric Guitar:

This is the most beautiful stratocaster I have ever seen. The pictures can't do justice to how it actually looks in person. I have never seen a sparkle finish done better. It has very small gold flake in the paint that is just amazing in the light. The feel and playability of this guitar just cannot be beat. The 12 inch radius makes for easy bending and the 2 point tremolo and custom pickups just make it perfect all around. It sounds just awesome and there is a notable difference in the quality of sound in these pickups. These are hard to find and the classic player has an excellent reputation if you do your research. Definitely a lifetime quality guitar.

Comments about Fender FSR Stratocaster Classic Player 60's Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because a friend of mine had it and fell in love with the tone and I was also looking for a workhorse guitar to leave my more expensive guitars at home from time to time.
The neck is nice, and the pickups rock!the design is pretty solid. So wood quality: check, neck: check, pickups: check. I wouldn't complain about the factory set up either.
That being said, it was obvious that for this price fender would cut some corners. The bridge is ok but doesn't feel as sturdy as american standard bridges (I own 2 american standards). With one or two tweaks this guitar will be as good as any american made strat and with a vintage tone.

Comments about Fender FSR Stratocaster Classic Player 60's Electric Guitar:

Bought this on a Guitar Center deal expecting poorer quality then American, but, something that could get the Strat itch covered until holidays were done. Was surprised when it came in the superior quality of the instrument. I think the best play for this is a rhythm guitarist as the cording play are awesome while the lead guitarist should pass and look for a hsh or a hss. Definitely like playing old rock on this instrument.
