good clean channel amp

By Guitarmanrocks

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp Is Loud and can be noisey. It is great if playing outside, on a big stage, ect... It is hard to keep at low volume. In a 10x8 room you can't turn it down without getting blown away. Try to get a Volume pedal. I ran it through a POD line6 to control the volume. The amp distortion is noisey, If you are playing death metal music ect.. You will need a Pod or a effects pedals. The clean channel sounds great. I run my guitar into a POD then into this amp on the left channel. On the right channel I run the POD into a Vox tube amp. I also keep both amps on clean channels and use the Pod effects. The blend is great sound for recording.

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is good for anyone who is in a band and wants good tone without having to sacrifice a lot of money. It has very high volume, and I still haven't blown a speaker even when it's all the way cranked! This amp also has very good distortion for all kinds of music.Overall it's a good value!!

Sick Amp!

By roselli89

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp for christmas hoping to get a good tone and a nicer amp. I was overwhelmed by this amp, clean is chrystal clear and even distortion isint bad. I threw a digitech distortion pedal on there with my echo park and it gets the job done. Great amp

Its a fender!

By Matthew-U2

from hollywood,CA

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

fender simply makes the best amps. I had my doubts about this amp because of the cheap price, but this amp is far from cheap quality. I decided to take a leap and buy it and it was one of the best desicions i have ever made. I use this amp at all my gigs, it projects loud clean sounds when you set it to clean mode, and the distortion comes out beautifully. This is the perfect amp!

My band owns three of these amps and it seems to be the best amp we've used so far for small concerts. Hey Fender never lets you down Under the Truth

Not tube but close

By Fender Always

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

Bought this amp for the price and the Fender reputation and am really happy i did. Got guts, sweet tones and great for blues. Love the reverb. Wanted the Twin but this is good enough for me. Everyone who plays on it just raves.

Great Price, Great sound, weak distortion

By Moody Bible Institute rocks

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

I have owned this amp for about two years. I bought it when i was in high school and a little short on cash. I love this amp and have used it at tons and tons of shows including shows with more than 1000 people in attendance. My only complaint about the FM 212R is the onboard distortion. It is great for minor distortions or even punk + emo but to get a quality metal sound i suggest using the line 6 uber metal pedal or the Boss meta master. Overall, a great buy.

More Bang for your Buck

By John H. Buckley

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

I purchased my Fender FM 212 about 1 1/2 months ago. It is the best Amp by Fender I have played through in years. With it's crisp clean sound as well as the overdrive feature you would stand up and be noticed as a Quality Musician. As well as the output power of 100 Watts and 2 12" speakers I would be proud to play any kind of Music also because of the Craftmanship known just in the name Fender. It takes no back seat to any Amplifier on the Market today.A great powerhouse of a Amplifier for a low price.

I recently used this amp for a backyard gig and its great! Its as loud as a half stack and sounded great with my digitech grunge pedal. Great buy for the cost.

Good enough I must say

By What about guitar center

from Scarborough, ME

Comments about Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp really pulls it off. The clean channel sounds great, and the distortion channels are just alright, but I must admit they're pretty aggressive. I can get that classic sparkly Strat tone with low gain though, and I guess that makes up for it. The lack of decent distortion can easily be solved with a decent distortion pedal. I use the death metal distortion pedal (although I'm not a fan of metal or the tone) with the emulated circuitry and I get a pretty smooth rhythm tone. The reverb isn't much... at all. Actually as a matter of fact I can barely hear it, and it adds a very subtle buzzing. But not to worry, at high volumes it will easily be drowned out. Oh and, its very loud, it doesn't even have to be turned up past 3 to be heard over a drum set, and 6 to drown it out. My conclusion, its good enough for anyone who can afford pedals but doesn't need the fancy stuff.
