good starter

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

This was my first banjo and it made me fall in love with the banjo. I have since upgraded but my oldest daughter is learning on this one. Great starter without spending a fortune.

sounds good but it wont last.

By Todd Barsalou

from Greenville NC

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

As a musician in a traveling band I need an Instrument that can take a little wear and tear. Within the first week small parts of the banjo started falling off. The banjo sounds great but be prepared to do a little work on it and some parts will need to be replaced within the first 6 months.

FB 300 Banjo

By Glenn Harpold

from Melbourne, Florida

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

Banjo has beautiful wood and a nice tone - quite loud. The banjo tunes up fine, but the intonation is out. We did not get a manual for the banjo, so I am unsure if neck can be adjusted. String action is nice up to the 7th or 8th fret, but then the strings sit high off the fret board. If I can get a manual, I will attempt my own set up. The instrument is fine for learning the basics at this point, but a setup will be needed for any advanced playing up the neck. The plastic picks do not adjust for different finger size.

FB 300 Pack

By David LeMaster

from Lakewood,CO

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

I ordered from the store to be delivered to my home. It came. It was packaged extremely well. No damage. Everything advertised to come with it, came. The instruction manual kept referencing a Training CD, but I never found it. No big deal. After I got into making a few cords...it is a blast! Great Product. Beautifully made. The wife says when I get good enough to play, I can come out of the basement.

Love my Fender banjo

By S Johnson

from Columbia Heights, MN

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

When my order arrived guitar center notified me by email it was ready. It was very well packed and in great condition. I did have to do some internet research to set up the neck and bridge and Guitar Center staff offered to do the set up but now it plays beautifully and is a joy to own. Thank you Guitar Center for helping to expand my musical instrument collection.

Great Package

By Bassman 2000

from Texas

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

I think that this is a great introductory package for banjo. It has everything you need--banjo, gig bag, finger picks, strap, chromatic tuner, extra strings, and instruction booklet. All are top Fender quality. Unlike the other review, my package came complete (the sales staff even had me look through the box to make sure it was complete). I took up the banjo to learn a new instrument and this item has everything you need in one package with nothing else to buy.

Burn out Banjo

By BlueModesto209

from Modesto, CA

Comments about Fender FB 300 Banjo Pack:

Not a bad Banjo. Only problems we had were peices missing...But that probably happens when this particular center we went to, prolly sold the banjo several times prior to our purchase. The Banjo itself was free of blemishes. Plastic finger picks are not the way to go when attempting Blugrass... The tuner in this Banjo pack was missing. stings were nice and tight, neck straight...case is decent, but playbook was a bit tattered. If you do get a Banjo Pack...make sure it's new..and not a returned item. For the $$, it's not a bad deal.
