Overview

The Fender FA135CE Concert Acoustic Guitar is built on the concert-style platform for a sleek, modern design. The laminated spruce top features X-bracing for bright, punchy tone, ideal for lead guitar. The neck is nato, and the back and sides are laminated basswood-both tone woods known for letting the mid and high frequencies sing out.

Thanks to the basswood back and sides, the Fender FA135CE is very light, avoiding strain to your neck or back during prolonged playing. The chrome tuners offer precision tuning. The guitar also features an impressive electronics system, featuring the Fishman ION-T preamp and built-in chromatic tuner, which provides lightning-fast tuning and amplification. The preamp features a volume dial, phase and contour buttons, and a tuner power button.

The FA135CE is fashioned with a natural gloss polyurethane finish, aged fretboard and body bindings, and a white concentric ring rosette that offers a striking contrast, and an appearance as beautiful as its sound.

Case sold separately.

i bout this guitar a month ago. Its sounds beautiful, better than all of the guitars i own. it has a cut away on the neck, it makes it easy to reach the higher frets. the lightweight ( only about 1 pound) lets you play for prolonged time, without putting any strain on your neck this guitar sounds beautiful and looks beautifully i reccomend this for a beginner and even a expert

I started with two stars, and upped to three. I don't want to sound like a snob. My main ax is a Taylor 614ce, Of course, this Fender sounds like rubbish next to it! And it should for less than 10% of the price.

So, let's toss the Taylor out of the equation entirely. I've also got a cheap Martin DX?. My Martin doesn't sound great, but I can take it to Burning Man - use it as a pillow, a plate, and swat tennis balls and the sound/action stay pretty darn good. I guess cuz of the plastic...er, "HPL" Point is. CRUSHES THE FA135!

Next up. Yamaha FG700 (sub $200). My wife/ kids got it for me. Sentimental value. Didn't want it destroyed (OK w Martin dying).

Quick Recap: Two full size dreads. Main ax = cutaway grand symphony. BrainFlash! get a beater of same variety as my beloved Taylor! Enter the Fender FA135CE! You dig?

Yes, I played it in the store - not as much as I should've - but c'mon, it's < $ than a pedal!

I expected sound "ON PAR" with the Yamaha. I'm not saying, "EQUALLY AS GOOD" but I'd like it to be close. I'd like to have that feeling of, "man, I'd love to take the Taylor, but I'm good with the Fender..." I'd settle for the feeling of, "man, I'd love to the take the Taylor, and I don't feel totally uninspired by the Fender..."

But I do. Uninspired is the word. I don't want to play it. I take it camping. It sits in the case. You know the feeling. It's not that I'm not "proud" cuz someone may KNOW it's a cheap guitar - that would be okay. This is that kind of, "man, I dread hearing that thing. I think I'll go gnaw on a branch or something..."

But let me break down my 3 stars:

1 star for LOOKS! If I was deaf, I'd play it all day long... butterface, for a guitar.
1 star for PRICE! This is in the "so cheap it's tough to find someone to check you out cuz they look the other way hoping for someone with a more expensive item for commission."
1 star for STAYS IN TUNE! And, man, the intonation is great! strobed it, and within cents all up and down fretboard!

Built well. Has quality fishman electronics and very easy controls. Have been playing for a long time and tried many acoustics. I have settled on this as my backup guitar. It was the best quality in its price range.

Comments about Fender FA135CE Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I had reservations, but wanted to try this guitar based on some good reviews I had read. This instrument far surpassed my expectations both acoustically and electronically. It is very playable, and holds its tune well. I have been a pro for around 40 years, and will use this guitar regularly in live performance. You gotta love it when an inexpensive instrument is this good.
