Comments about Fender "Electro Lounge" Neon Clock:
First of all, I'd like to give five stars to Guitar Center. Their customer service team has been great. I'm on my third clock and each time I've contacted them, they were quick to resolve my issue. So thanks Guitar Center! The old adage you get what you pay for may not necessarily ring true with this product. According to the description, a battery for the clock is included -- it wasn't. I just received my third clock and it, as well as the previous two, did not come with a battery. But that's small compared to the rest of my problems. The first clock I received had a "c" shaped scratch on the graphic. Seeing as how I bought it specifically for the graphic, that was a big problem. Guitar Center was quick to send me a replacement -- thanks! The second clock had a good graphic; however, the plastic fasteners that hold the top portion of the inner neon ring were broken. So not only was there the possibility of the inner ring moving, but the fasteners (plastic zip ties) were sticking out. Strike two! But again, thank you Guitar Center for the quick assist! The third (and soon to be final) clock I received had a decent graphic. It was kind of messy within the bubble; dust and what looks like glue strands floating around. But all in all, it was something I could live with; so I decided to hang it. I set it and mounted it on my wall. About an hour later, I decided to go take a peek (new toy and all) and noticed the time was off. I took it down, reset the time, and hung it back up - then I noticed the clock hands weren't moving fully. At that time I noticed that the rear of the second hand had got hung up on the minute hand. I again reset it -- mostly to loosen up the second hand -- and watched it to see if that cleared it up. It didn't. Overall, I'd say this product was cheaply made. The graphic isn't very clean; it almost looks like it was printed out on a home printer. The back of the clock is that cardboard/chipboard backing you get with cheap bookshelves. You mount it with a hole in that backing. The clock hands look flimsy; and in my case didn't even function properly. But the neon is cool. So if you want some neon rings with a Fender logo, but don't necessarily need to know the correct time, this is the clock for you. After almost 20-years in the military and moving around all the time, I finally have a room to display all of my gear; with one wall even dedicated to Fender. This clock really would've fit in nicely amongst all my other Fender products -- guitars, amps, magnets, a lunchbox, etc . . . But sadly, it's been a disappointment. Fortunately Guitar Center's got my back.
