The First thing that caught my eye with Fender's Deluxe Nashville Telecaster was obviously the inclusion of a Middle Pickup, and let me tell you IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. The Tex Mex Pickups in the neck and the middle make an amazing Combination and are useful in Rock, Blues, Progressive, and Jazz. I wasn't a huge fan of the bridge Tex Mex sound, but when I replaced the bridge with a Seymour Duncan Lil' 59 the difference was AMAZING!!! The sound instantly got beefed up without compromizing Tele Tone. With the five way selector and three pickups, this is easily (with the exception of it's sister 'power' tele) The Most Versatile Tele you can place in your arsenal. With the exception of Metal Monsters, this Tele is for ALL styles of guitarchitecture. I go back to my Ibanez SA-220 for a lot of my heavier work, but My Nashville Telecaster had perfect action from the beginning and delivered a sound that complimented both my rhythm and lead styles.

I had GC hold the honey blonde w the maple neck for me because I liked the look online. When I arrived at the store to pick it up, the color was WAY different than what was pictured online. When I think of honey blonde, I imagine a soft yellow-gold color. This guitar wasn't even close. It's actually identical to one of those orange cremesicle popsicles...not a very pretty color with the tortoise shell guard and maple neck. It was the only Nashville they had; however I did not play it in the store, so this really is only a review to be careful of the color you think you're getting.

Nashville Tele

By r lueptow

from Manitowoc, WI

This is a good value for a very playable telecaster! The Texas pickups are clean and just a little hot in the middle ( single strat ) position. The neck is good and frets are dressed well. it is a great looking guitar as well. Nice addition to my collection. Buy one..you will enjoy!

Fender Nashville Deluxe Telecaster

By Darrell Smith

from Frankfort KY

Awesome ! Plays like butter right out of the box ! Sounds Great, easy player and provides incredible Nashville sounds. 5-way switch gives lots of options along with the strat neck pickup and two tele pickups. I recommend to anyone wanting a true Nashville Sound from a Telecaster. You just can't go wrong with the price for the quality and performance of this genuine Fender Guitar. Backed with optional warranties from Guitar Center, you're all set to enjoy many years of playing from this instrument. Comes with very nice gig bag. I bought Fender 2013 case just to protect the guitar in airline travel, and on the road. Just as happy with this one as my Fender USA Guitar.

Great Bang for the Buck

By E Lopez

from Tampa, FL

I bought this guitar used and had it shipped to my location. I never buy guitars untested, but the staff assured me that if I was unhappy they would refund my money. The only disappointment was the color was not as pictured, but that's really not even an issue. I own eleven guitars mostly different brands and styles. This is the fourth tele in the collection and now my first go to guitar whether I'm in the studio or live. Mine is beige with a maple neck/ fretboard for brighter sound and more snap and twang. When I received it the action needed some minor adjusting and there was some string buzz on the B string. The tech remidied both situations in just minutes and what a guitar! The neck pickup delivers a nice dark sound that I can adjust if I'm playing blues or jazz. In the middle pups I get that Hendrixy kind of sound which now keeps my strat on the guitar stand. The bridge pick up gives me all the snap and twang I need. The pickups are relatively quiet. Positions two and four deliver the tone variations I just love from a three pick up guitar. This guitar is very versatile except for shreeding, but then again, if you buy a tele, you don't play that style of music as these guitars are not designed for that. This guitar is well worth it even at thefull retail price. I might trade or sell off one of my other guitars, but this one will stay in my collection forever. Defintiely a great buy!

ONE BOOMSAUCE GUITAR!

By Adrian Votary

from Lizella GA

This guitar has great tone! It is a really good guitar, especialy for the price. I like the pickup combos, they have a good sound to them if you want a Strat/Tele kind of sound. It really depends on what kind of music you play. I don't play "hardcore" type stuff. It's really good for country and blues, it's got a really "Jazzy" kind of sound. Especially with a neck pickup in the combo. (Neck/Mid is really good!) Any way this is a really good Tele if you don't have $2,000 to spend on a guitar. I really recomend it!

pretty good

By Jonah Seymour

from Montour, IA

i was given this guitar by my dad and let me say it has done the job. it has lasted for many many years. the only problems i would say it has is 1. the high Es saddle needs to be ajusted from time to time and 2. the middle pickup makes alot of noise. other than that i would reccomend this if your on a budget. good(not great) guitar for a good price

A Good Buy... At First.

By Kevin Lee

from Los Angeles, California.

My dad bought me a new guitar on July because i recently graduated from middle school. When I first saw this guitar, it was pretty awesome. I was planning on buying a epiphone sheraton, but this caught my eye. It sounded great, the blonde finish was amazing, and the neck was not bad. I really like the strat pickup in the middle, it gives you the best of both worlds. It sounds really awesome in a Fender tube amp. Immediately, I bought this guitar. As months passed, a lot of things began to change. One day, the guitar just hummed like crazy, so the wiring needed some work. The neck pickup began to die in tone and now sounds really muddy. I don't know why this was happening. I think i took care of my guitar well excluding the fact it got banged once or twice. Now, I'm kinda disappointed with this guitar. I still really like the strat pickup, the awesome finish, and the neck. I'm planning on replacing this guitar with another one since I luckily got a 2-year warranty.

Most incredible guitar

By Bill

from Bear, DE

I ordered a Nashville Deluxe from Fender because we couldn't locate a candy apple red/maple neck and fingerboard. I've never bought a guitar sight unseen but took a risk this time. My expectations were exceeded 10 fold. This is a MIM and the fit and finish (quality)are everything you would expect from Fender. The red color was a little darker color than I wanted but it still looks beautiful. The guitar body is ash and resonates near perfectly when played. I can feel the tones from each note through the guitar body. Sustain is unbelievable and the satin finish on the neck is smooth and fast. The three pickup and 5 way switching provide a wide range of sounds, everything from the classic tele twang to a clear rich jazz sound from the middle pickup. The tex-mex pickups provide a hot and raw sound when the tone knob is turned all the way up. I play it through a VOX modeling amp that has a tube pre-amp. When I overdrive the pickups they absolutely scream. I've played everything from Country to Rock (Pink Floyd / Zepplin) and Blues and the guitar fits right in. If I had to buy just one electric guitar, this would be it. Now If I could only figure out how to tell my wife that I bought it . . . I'm going the "ask for foregiveness" route on this one. If you want a fantastic guitar at a great price, the Telecaster Deluxe Nashville is it.

Great Tele!

By g

from Orlando Florida

I received this guitar today as a christmas present and it plays amazingly! The action is awesome and the intonation is near perfect straight from the factory. It sounds great on my peavy vypyr 75 watt no matter what tone it is on. the pick ups are the selling point for this guitar. The tex-mex setup really allows for versitility especially for people who love to play all kinds of music. Being an indie rock kind of guy this guitar was perfect for me. I would reccomend this guitar to anybody whos looking for a tele. It is awesome.

nashville tele killls

By e crow

from pgh, pa

had mine about 6 months, kept an eye out for a year before finding it. the maple neck is crisp and fast at the same time, didn't know that feel was possible, versatility of middle pickup over regular tele is tremendous. feels slightly chunky, but in that solid craftsmanship beefy way-an earthy good thing. plays thu a valvtronix modeling amp-there is no sound the combination cant find. all tremendous!
