The First thing that caught my eye with Fender's Deluxe Nashville Telecaster was obviously the inclusion of a Middle Pickup, and let me tell you IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. The Tex Mex Pickups in the neck and the middle make an amazing Combination and are useful in Rock, Blues, Progressive, and Jazz. I wasn't a huge fan of the bridge Tex Mex sound, but when I replaced the bridge with a Seymour Duncan Lil' 59 the difference was AMAZING!!! The sound instantly got beefed up without compromizing Tele Tone. With the five way selector and three pickups, this is easily (with the exception of it's sister 'power' tele) The Most Versatile Tele you can place in your arsenal. With the exception of Metal Monsters, this Tele is for ALL styles of guitarchitecture. I go back to my Ibanez SA-220 for a lot of my heavier work, but My Nashville Telecaster had perfect action from the beginning and delivered a sound that complimented both my rhythm and lead styles.

The high E string had a bad tendency to fall off so I adjusted the neck joint and that helped a little. I them changed to Gotoh aftermarket bridge and that helped too. The middle pickup was weak on the treble strings no matter how I adjusted it. I swapped that out for a DiMarzio True Velvet. Now I'm getting very close to the guitar I wanted. Bottom line: it's a good guitar for the money but it needs some tinkering to get anywhere near its real potential. If you need a guitar to be great right out of the box, this is not the right one.

What a Deal!

By hbucker

from Highlands Ranch, CO

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. It does classic Tele tones perfectly and has the middle pickup so the notch positions of a Strat are right there. These are my favorite Strat tones anyway. The construction is good and it's built to be played and played and played. There's something nice about wailing away on the plank of wood that is a Telecaster. And the Nashville Tele is an amazing work horse and a super value. Really, I think it's one of the best values for the money out there.

Pretty good buy

By Buzzround

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I couldn't decide to go with a tele or strat so I got this. It's worked out pretty well. I like the versatility of sounds and it looks really cool. I play alt country, southern rock. It has decent sustain. The only downside is it's a little heavy. Sometimes for shows I'll switch over to the mexican just for a break.

Fender Nashville Telecaster rocks

By MEG

from Gahanna, OH

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought my Nashville Tele in March as a compromise between a Tele and a Strat and I have been extremely pleased. You get all the clean tones of a Tele and much of the Strat bite with the 5 way switch. Run through an amp with overdrive, it rocks! The only modification I will make is to replace the bridge pup with a Seymour Duncan for more bite when I want it. The maple neck is the best neck I have ever played, bar none. For the money, the versatility of the Nashville Tele makes it a tremendous value.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

After 37 years of playing rock, metal, top 40, Southern rock, I decided to play country music. My USA Strat couldn't quite get the twang, so I went out in search of a Tele. I looked at USA and Mexi "regular" Teles, and was playing the Nashville when another guy mentioned that every one of the Nashvilles he's seen was well-build and sounded good. I had to agree on the sound - extremely versatile, from the classic Tele twang to a convincing Strat tone. I took the plunge and ordered one in Brown Sunburst with a maple fretboard. I was not disappointed. The fit and finish are as good as my Strat. Nicely dressed fret edges, solid neck, excellent electronics... The intonation is a tiny bit off, but that's easily remedied. I highly recommend this if you're looking to add a Tele to your stable but want more versatility.

A little bit Country/A little bit Rock n Roll

    By Big Mike

    from Havre de Grace, MD

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about 5 years ago because I always wanted a Tele but wanted more veristility than the Standard. Being able to add a middle Strat pickup to already great sound of the Tele pickups makes this an amazing guitar for the money. The 5-way switch gives you the versitility you need if you play a classic rock song to a country song to an alternitive song. No more putting down one and picking up the other for every song. The only issue I have had with the guitar is after about 6 months I started having ground hum out of the middle pickup which was easily fixed. That's it. I added a Hipshot B-Bender to it and it sounds and plays great!

    This Tele Rules

    By Jackie Hall

    from Stockbridge, Ga

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This is the only Telecaster I own. I play a lot of country music, old and new. This one has 3 great pickups and the sound it produces are astonding. The crafmanship is put into it, you can get a lot of diffent sounds which surprized me. I've played it on alot of diffent amps and the sound quality was always there loud and clear. Fender used high quality electronics. Great Job Fender!

    Great tone!! Guitar guitar!!

    By Andrew Geroch

    from Hermosa Beach, California

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about a month ago and i don't regret it since then. This guitar is great for anyone looking for that classic telecaster sound along with tone of an All American Stratocaster. This guitar is crafted in fender's factory in Mexico then assembled and inspected in California. This guitar's got that Jimi Hendrix style tone and sounds great on a Fender Vibro Champ amplifier. This guitar is great for the price and sounds almost exactly the same as the Nashville Telecaster Power. I highly recommend this guitar!

    Great "Twang" for your buck!!

    By Jackie Grier

    from Texas

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This "axe" is the real deal. From Country, Blues to Rock..it doesn't get much better. I will put this axe up against any of my American or Japan Fenders. Its a little on the heavy side...Because of the Alder wood body. The pick-ups scream with a lil buzz. I changed the neck pup to an ADDER..and what a difference. The only thing left to change is the configuration of the p/u selector switch..I want to utilize the bridge and neck together...But i've been gonna do that for over a year !!! All in all a great axe. I use mine w/out a backup and never think twice about it!

    it is a sound of a single-coil

    By chemicalsoul16000

    from Teaneck, NJ

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I'm a huge fan of humbucker pickup guitars. so, if you're the same as i am, please don't compare this from guitars with humbucker pickups. but i decided to get a singlecoil for better clean rhythm. my first pick is the fender telecaster. i've seen reviews about tex-mex are nothing compared to the american models. in a way, yes. but as far as sound goes, there is little difference in sound when you compare them side by side. however, the feel of the american model's neck is way faster compared to the tex-mex. all in all, this is not a bad buy after all. you get the telecaster + strat in one guitar. great guitar!!

    Great guitar!

    By JimiFan

    from Florida

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. Wonderfull tone and looks great. Middle pickup stands out, but adds diversity. This guitar can produce almost any sound you want it to, I know from experience because when I started playing ac/dc stuff I would never have believed you could get such an sg like tone from the bridge pickup. The pickups are a little noisy, but they are single coils. Overall great guitar. I couldn't imagine anyone giving a bad review to this guitar. Peace!

    Love This Guitar

    By Andy John

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is fantastic, I bought the Candy Apple Red Model before the price hike from Fender and this guitar is fantastic. I recorded a few songs one a demo and another studio recording on this guitar and it can deliver a nice clean tone and a nice fat tone with ease. The action is fantastic and it is such an amazing guitar.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

had mine about 6 months, kept an eye out for a year before finding it. the maple neck is crisp and fast at the same time, didn't know that feel was possible, versatility of middle pickup over regular tele is tremendous. feels slightly chunky, but in that solid craftsmanship beefy way-an earthy good thing. plays thu a valvtronix modeling amp-there is no sound the combination cant find. all tremendous!

Honey blonde is actually nasty orange...not what you see online!

    By Tim Farnsworth

    from Pismo Beach, CA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I had GC hold the honey blonde w the maple neck for me because I liked the look online. When I arrived at the store to pick it up, the color was WAY different than what was pictured online. When I think of honey blonde, I imagine a soft yellow-gold color. This guitar wasn't even close. It's actually identical to one of those orange cremesicle popsicles...not a very pretty color with the tortoise shell guard and maple neck. It was the only Nashville they had; however I did not play it in the store, so this really is only a review to be careful of the color you think you're getting.

    Great Bang for the Buck

    By E Lopez

    from Tampa, FL

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar used and had it shipped to my location. I never buy guitars untested, but the staff assured me that if I was unhappy they would refund my money. The only disappointment was the color was not as pictured, but that's really not even an issue. I own eleven guitars mostly different brands and styles. This is the fourth tele in the collection and now my first go to guitar whether I'm in the studio or live. Mine is beige with a maple neck/ fretboard for brighter sound and more snap and twang. When I received it the action needed some minor adjusting and there was some string buzz on the B string. The tech remidied both situations in just minutes and what a guitar! The neck pickup delivers a nice dark sound that I can adjust if I'm playing blues or jazz. In the middle pups I get that Hendrixy kind of sound which now keeps my strat on the guitar stand. The bridge pick up gives me all the snap and twang I need. The pickups are relatively quiet. Positions two and four deliver the tone variations I just love from a three pick up guitar. This guitar is very versatile except for shreeding, but then again, if you buy a tele, you don't play that style of music as these guitars are not designed for that. This guitar is well worth it even at thefull retail price. I might trade or sell off one of my other guitars, but this one will stay in my collection forever. Defintiely a great buy!

    Fender Nashville Deluxe Telecaster

    By Darrell Smith

    from Frankfort KY

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Awesome ! Plays like butter right out of the box ! Sounds Great, easy player and provides incredible Nashville sounds. 5-way switch gives lots of options along with the strat neck pickup and two tele pickups. I recommend to anyone wanting a true Nashville Sound from a Telecaster. You just can't go wrong with the price for the quality and performance of this genuine Fender Guitar. Backed with optional warranties from Guitar Center, you're all set to enjoy many years of playing from this instrument. Comes with very nice gig bag. I bought Fender 2013 case just to protect the guitar in airline travel, and on the road. Just as happy with this one as my Fender USA Guitar.
