This deluxe Telecaster also features an alder body, vintage machine heads, US Vintage 6-saddle bridge, and medium jumbo frets. Includes Fender/Fishman Power Bridge and concentric volume and tone controls for operating both magnetic and piezo bridge pickups. I've owned the Fender Nashville Power Tele Sunburst for over a year and find it better then I expected. The neck is incredible. Even with small hands this has the smoothest, most comfortable playability of most guitars I've tried or owned. The Sunburst finish was perfect and the Piazo acoustic pickup sounds great. Pluging this into two seperate amps, Electric Tex/Mex pickups in one and Piazo in another gives me such a full stereo sound. Add some effects to the Electric side and you've got two guitars playing. One thing about Active Electronics (battery assisted) is to always remember to unplug when not in use or be prepared to change batteries often. You can't beat this for playability. It's my main guitar that I pickup among all that I have. Buy it!

I've had to return my power tele twice for repairs on the soundboard piece inside the guitar. When this guitar works as it should, I really do enjoy it. I'm sort of leary of it now, after having the problems twice. (The volume just starts to get more faint, and eventually there is no sound, other than hum from the amp.) The repairman has assured me that it is not anything that I have done that has caused the problem. He has stated that the soundboard pieces have been defective. Hopefully three is a charm in this case.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I got mine used, I never knew that they made Teles with power bridge. I love everything about it, but the piezo needs a better preamp. I fixed this by adding a DOD fx40b graphic eq. I also use the TC electronics Body Rez. The pickups sound great, but the only flaw is the low output piezo.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I play in two cover bands, mostly classic rock. I've always wanted to be able to switch quickly between electric and acoustic sound without having to change guitar and without having to deal with acoustic guitar feedback. This Power Tele guitar is THE answer to my need.

It's very versatile with 3 electric pickups plus the finish is very good, no buzz, all perfect. The pickups are quite silent - I am quite surprised about that as I expected pickups in MiM Fender's would be more noisy that USA made Fenders, it's not the case.

To get a good acoustic sound, the acoustic jack MUST be plugged into an acoustic amp or a PA - otherwise, it's not worth it, and if you don't plan to do so, don't buy this guitar, you will be disappointed by the acoustic sound you will get (I have a great Mesa tube amp, and those are not made for acoustic sound amplification and they don't have a tweeter so...).

I find the Fishman pickup does a great job on the 4 high strings (e, B, A, D) but the acoustic sound isn't as good on the low A and E strings, but it's still good enough to play live - nobody will notice in band situation. I will try to see if different kind of strings could help to improve that.

Overall, I strongly recommend this guitar if you play in a band and need the kind of flexibility that this guitar offer.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Great Guitar right out of the box. I play a Parker Nitefly (10yrs old) wanted something to back up. Same Parker is now $1700. Looked for a Fender American no luck. Wanted Peizo in bridge. Looked high and low found Power tele. Nice acoustic sound plus tele and strat sounds. This is a winner . Hope it lasts.

Great guitar, but for only a few genres

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar for years and loved it. The only problem was, it wasn't suited for the heavier stuff I liked to play. For blues and country music though it is a great guitar.

    Modified for Slide.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I picked up one of these in 1999 to setup for slide playing, The tuners and bridge on them weren't as nice as the new ones so it didn't bother me at all to replace them with Sperzel locking tuners and a Hipshot Trilogy bridge that allows quick easy on stage tuning of the open type that I use. The tone and sustain is amazing and it is one guitar that I don't plan on parting with due to its versatility, sound and looks.

    GREAT guitar overall

    By Chris Ciacelli

    from Johnson City, NY

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar presents a vast tonal pallet for versatility of sound while still achieving that delightful Tele twang. I chose this model because the Fishman peizos gave me the kind of on-the-fly versatility that I require as a worship musician with no personal tech to hand me a different guitar when I need to make a quick change. It also allows me the ability to sound like two guitars instead of just one, an acoustic as well as a processed electric sound. The Power Tele loses one star only for some minor flaws such as the 6th string piezo failing twice and the selector knob loosing up regularly. A great instrument for not a lot of money. Well worth it!

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a sweet deal for the cash. I've had such a great time playing it. And it get's the job done really no matter what I throw at it. The Strat pick up in the middle and the Fishman piezo bring a very unique sound to the whole guitar. I love the look of the guitar as well. And to add to it all the thing stays in tune very well. You're probably gonna want to do a little set up when you first get the guitar. Very unique and versatile for the money you spend.

    Versatility/Tone

    By Nightsongs

    from Mac, Oregon

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

A friend who was a Fender dealer found a new/old stock Nashville Power Deluxe in their storage. It was a 1999 that had never been used, still had the pickguard plastic, etc.I'm a Line 6 guy, but missed my old Tele's so I bought it.After having the pots, power chip, electronic stuff replaced (went bad after all that time alone), and the intonation/action set up, I really love it now. Not as great as my Variax 600, but for all the barre chords I play, it's a little more comfortable. Playing thru a Vetta 2, I can adjust the piezo sound nicely.
