Fender makes it easy

By joerockme

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've owned the Fender Nashville Power Tele Sunburst for over a year and find it better then I expected. The neck is incredible. Even with small hands this has the smoothest, most comfortable playability of most guitars I've tried or owned. The Sunburst finish was perfect and the Piazo acoustic pickup sounds great. Pluging this into two seperate amps, Electric Tex/Mex pickups in one and Piazo in another gives me such a full stereo sound. Add some effects to the Electric side and you've got two guitars playing. One thing about Active Electronics (battery assisted) is to always remember to unplug when not in use or be prepared to change batteries often. You can't beat this for playability. It's my main guitar that I pickup among all that I have. Buy it!

One Tight Guitar

By TeleTwanger

from Columbus Ohio

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've been on stage so long I'l probably die in the middle of a song so I have played everything in my 40 years of gigging. Yes, there are better guitars out there if you want to pay a years wages, but this guitar is remarkable for the price. I play a lot of different kinds of music and she moves well between styles. The main thing is when you get her immediately cut the strings off and put your own on. Then take the time to really tighten/adjust everything, including the neck bolts. They don't set up the intonation at the factory so don't forget that. Mine also required an immediate adj of the truss rod. But after all the adjustments I went to a show and WOW! This guitar plays tight, not slinky and sloppy like a lot of fenders, notes are clean, bright and deliberate. I will be playing this one for a very long time. The piezo is fine if you give it it's own channel and mix it different than the magnetics. Overall I would recommend this guitar to the working musician. I do plan to replace the machine heads but other than that I'm leaving this one as is. Special thanks to our hard working pals south of the border for a job well done.

Not what I had hoped for...

By dantheman85x

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I'd been playing guitar for about a year when I decided to get an electric. I was looking for something versatile, yet traditional. And being rather foolish, I bought this guitar without playing it first. My favorite music is country, and forget fiddles, if you're going to play in Texas, you need a Tele in the band. This one looked cool, and the reviews all pointed to yes being my answer. It's looks are good, and the finishing quality isn't great, but it's still a nice guitar. However it lacked that signature twang associated with traditional Telecasters. In fact the twang is relatively non-existent. The 3 pickups offer different sounds, but none are expressly country-sounding. This is a guitar for youngsters who haven't decided what they like and need sound options. After about a week, I sent this one back, and spent the extra money on the American Standard in 2-tone sunburst. As soon as I held that beautiful AMERICAN MADE instrument in my hands, and plucked the first low E string on the bridge pickup, I knew I had found what I was looking for. Serious musicians and country afficionados need to avoid this Nashville Telecaster. It's not for you. You're gonna have to spend the extra cash and get the American Standard. Kudos to GuitarCenter.com for the ease of returnability and customer service.

Fender proves themselves worthy!

By Inferno

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Fender really did it with this one. They broke out from the "beginner-quality" guitars and showed us just how cool they can make a guitar. I have a vintage one, handed down from a good friend of mine who had some connections with Johnny Cash, himself. So, neddless to say, if he used it, why can't it be a good guitar. Excellent blues and rock transitions make the Fender Tele one of the best guitars out there, that, with a pedal, can hold it's own along with Gibsons. Hands down one of the best guitars out there. Its weight might be my only concern after playing an SG (those are like feathers, they are so light!), that i did get a few back pains after the first time playing with it, but that was easily solved by getting a nice, wide strap. So, if you are looking for the best quality for the price range, BUY THIS GUITAR BECAUSE IT IS FREAKING AWESOME!

Great Guitar for the Working Musician

By Daveh003

from Portland, OR

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I am a tele guy, and this one is my favorite. I bought it used about a year ago and fell in love with it almost right away. Up sides: 1) Adding a strat middle pickup was brilliant. They should have been doing that from the beginning. 2) The acoustic pickup is cool for adding brightness to your tone and the single volume knob lets you quickly dial in the amount you want. 3) The ability to combine up to 3 pickups at a time or go down to 1 gives enough combinations to make this your primary gigging guitar. 4) The finish is very good. It's not an American, but who wants to bang up an American tele on the road anyway? 5) The price to value ratio is exceptional. Down sides: 1) The Tex-Mex pickups aren't that good - they sound too "muddy" for my taste. I swapped the tele pickups out with SCN's and the strat middle with a Texas-Special. Now it sounds AMAZING! 2) The acoustic pickup is not going to give you that "true" acoustic sound - it's not horrible, but don't expect it to sound like a Martin. I use it to control tone, and that's about it. In closing, this is a great guitar for the working musician. It is versatile, beautiful, and with some minor mods, will quickly become one of your favorite guitars. I highly recommend.

Nice tele feel with a strat-ish sound.

By tietjen

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Fender? Deluxe Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar. I like this guitar alright. I have used one in some live applications and it sounds great through my vintage fender amps or peavey classic 30's. But know that it is still a tele, not a strat... it sounds like a strat but keeps the tele brights.

Versatility

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a sweet deal for the cash. I've had such a great time playing it. And it get's the job done really no matter what I throw at it. The Strat pick up in the middle and the Fishman piezo bring a very unique sound to the whole guitar. I love the look of the guitar as well. And to add to it all the thing stays in tune very well. You're probably gonna want to do a little set up when you first get the guitar. Very unique and versatile for the money you spend.

Great guitar, but for only a few genres

By Phillip Martin

from New Albany, Mississippi

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar for years and loved it. The only problem was, it wasn't suited for the heavier stuff I liked to play. For blues and country music though it is a great guitar.
