Let me start off by praising this guitar's versatility. I can play absolutely any style on this guitar and it sounds amazing. The vintage noiseless pickups have the best clean sound I have ever heard, and can handle a warm fuzz to blazing distortion. This guitar has a nice easy neck and with a little adjustment to the action i could shred without even thinking. Even though this guitar is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen; it's what's inside that matters. This guitar is better made than most Americans and I haven't needed to do any work other than a little tightening of the input jack(a common problem). Another fine feature is the tremolo system. Even though it isn't a floyd rose, it stays in tune perfectly. You can't pull crazy dive bombs with it, but small little trills and such work beautifully. Overall, this guitar is flawless and I will never need another.

I bought one of these about seven months ago (3-tone sunburst/rosewood board). I love this guitar now, it plays like butter and it's a real joy. But, I have done some work on it. When I got it, I had to do some grinding on the bridge plate before it would stop breaking high E strings (one per week - sometimes in a matter of minutes). Also, I could not get the "out-of-phase" sounds from switch positions 2 & 4 with the Noiseless pickups, but still had to be noiseless for stage work (the middle pickup is not reverse-wound/reverse-polarity). My answer - replace the pickups with a set of Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups. (I liked the SCN's so much, I put a set in my Mexican-built Telecaster, too) Still, with the right set-up and electronics, you can't beat this guitar for versatility and lush feel.

All I can say is WOW!

By Dave C

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

What a sweet playing guitar! I tried out this one along side a Highway model, but loved the feel of the Deluxe. The C neck was extremely comfortable from the first fret to the 21st. The action is perfect - can actually play at the 21 fret. Only one complaint - te set screws in the bridge cut into your palm when you do string muting.

Solid Guitar.

By JM

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I am an active musician playing in several different venues at the moment, and I have decided (after playing several different guitars) that I will be the proud owner of a Fender Deluxe Players Strat. This guitar is a workhorse. You can manipulate and pull almost any kind of tone you want out of this beauty. One of my former bandmates had a players strat and it was the only guitar he ever used. I know why. After picking one up and spending some time with it, I can't get my mind off of owning one! I've given up fast food and movies for the time being so that I can save money more quickly. I recommend this guitar to anyone that appreciates tonal range and playability.

Amazing

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing i just bought it about 5 days ago and I absolutely love it. I can get a variety of tones out of it using my crate amp. Examples of these tones are tones of John Frusciante and Jimi Hendrix. This guitar is truly amazing don't hesitate to buy one because the pickups itself are worth about 200 bucks. Great guitar

Deluxe Player "MIM" is a hit!!!!!

By EWC

from Greenwood, SC

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

1,000 words can't sum up the versatility and overall excellence this guitar offers. "Modern-C" maple neck is a dream. Smooth and quick from 1 to 21. Vintage noiseless pickups and 7 configurations can dial up creamy to crazy! Offers great sustain with minimal effects. I play it through my Rivera M80 combo for an exclusive strat sound. If you're skeptical of MIM strats; scoff no more! This guitar is affordable as well as functional. Gold vintage hardware sets off any color you choose. I went with 3-tone sunburst. A real eye/ear catcher. Everything you should expect from a strat... plus some! I was in the market for a USA strat and found this one at an unbelievable price. Picked it up and haven't put it down yet! If you haven't played one, you must!

Deluxe Player's Stratocaster

By ClaptonFan28

from Brookly, New York

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Simply beautiful! The minute I plugged this guitar into the amp, I was amazed. The clean sound on this guitar is just wonderful. No matter what pickup you're on, the sound just takes you away. Distortion sounds great too but it takes a while to adjust to. The guitar is considerably heavy but nonetheless feels nice and very comfortable. The pickups are what attracted me to it. They vintage noiseless and whats more, Eric Clapton uses them. If Clapton's got them, you've gotta have them.

The Axe that can do it all!!!

By B.Preece

from Tampa Florida

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I got one of these just a few months ago for my Valentines Day Present from my Fianc?! This thing is a solid player. The Pickups alone are some of Fenders best... If you want a True Classic Sound or you want a Cutting edge sound this thing will not disappoint you. This thing feels almost identical to my 1962 Strat The Neck is very comfortable along with the Vintage style Fender Tuners RoseWood Fretboard, and Medium Jumbo Frets hits a home run!!! The Body and Finish is flawless, the Gold Hardware gives it a touch of class as well as a Show Piece... That said I had to take it one better! I had some of the Gold Plated Fender "STRAT" Hat Knobs with the F logo I changed out the stock White ones with these, next I got a Gold Slide Switch Knob from a Dealer on Ebay.. Then added Gold Schaller Strap Locks!!! With these touches it actually looks almost also like a Fender "STRAT" 80's model... Fender did not miss a beat with this Guitar at all. The Blue Burst is absolutely beautiful... I liked the Pickguard how ever I changed it to the Classic White... Rest Ashure if they made these with the Classic 3 Color Sunburst Black Pickguard and gave it that Tex Mex Stevie Ray Vaughan Look they would always sell out!!! I will get another one shortly... Probably go with the Sunburst one... Now the thing is I am a Die Hard Humbucker Fan how ever These Noiseless Pickups are Hot and Warm with a Full Range of Tone that will not dissapoint anyone... One suggestion stick with Fender Strings Bullets or the Pure Nickle Strings as well, and try this puppy through a Fender G DEC Amp!!! I use both a G DEC around the house and a Princeton Stereo Chorus... Thanks to both Guitar Center and Fender for offering a Deal and a Real Player that is affordable... Also I would like to thank AL for not pressuring me and making Guitar Center in Tampa a Great Place to Deal with...

Amazing

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. I have had it for a few months now and it continues to amaze me. I play it on a 120 watt Spider Line 6 and it sounds amazing. I also own a Faded Gibson SG and I like the Fender a lot better. I love the single coil pickups, they get a lot better sound then humbuckers and they still get the kick they need when played on good amps. I would recomend this guitar to every musician that is looking for a great quality guitar at a great price. Rock on!

Fantastic Strat

By Mark

from gilbert,az

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

You name it and i've owned it.This is far and away the best playing, sounding, looking and affordable Fender I have ever had my hands on. the only mods I made was to install a seymore duncan mini 59er in the bridge and a coil tap pot for the 59er.Tone galore, the gold hardware adds class and contrast to the honey blond body and tinted 12 " radius maple neck, sweet!!!I use it as my main guitar in a country band.the leads are second to none and in the mid position it plays fantastic rythums.I feel it is the best value for a working musician because although it is made in mexico it blows away most of the U.S. Fenders I have owned in the past. If you are looking for a great sounding and easy playing guitar that you can afford, you should try this one at your local music store.I'm confident that you will be impressed.

Really Nice Axe

By JC

from Hammond, IN

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I have played for more than 25 years and have owned other strats. I sampled several the day I bought this one and I am quite happy that I bought this. I listened to it intently, in all pick up configurations. I checked it with a fine tooth comb for cosmetic flaws and poor workmanship and found none! It sounds dynamite, clean or processed. I also bought a 60th anniversary strat the same day and the tone of one comliments the other. Love them both.

American Feel, Mexican Price

By GuitarGod

from California

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This Guitar sounds amazing, its worth so much more than what your paying for. If you dont want a regular mexican, but cant afford an american, buy this guitar. The pickups sound great, and the toggle switch allows you to get a huge variety of tones. The only complaint i have is that the picture online of the saphire blue model is darker, the guiatar is bright under light, but darker in low light.

Honey Blonde Deluxe Players Strat

By YB9

from AR

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

For the money this Mexican strat is a great value. Noiseless pickups count for a lot. The G string tuner pings sometimes but, overall, so far so good. I think honey blonde/maple neck is one of the classiest color combos Fender makes. Love the gold hardware too. This one plays smoother than the Highway 1 (maybe becasue of the smaller frets).

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Right out of the box this guitar was and is far more beautiful than the pictures on fender.com and guitar center websites. Mine is crimson transparent red with a maple fingerboard. Beautiful guitar! I did take the time to do a proper setup for me, and make a few minor adjustments, but the set up and play ability was great to begin with.
I play several different guitars regularly, every one I play is my favorite when I'm playing it.. lol
When i purchased this one, i was looking for a Strat because my Les Paul is just too heavy and cumbersome to sit and play for hours without standing up and putting on a strap, the same with my ES hollow-body guitars. And, quite frankly, my cheap Squire sounds like a horn honking thru the cheap pickups when playing anything other than single note melodies or practicing scales. Also, I liked the idea of having another tone option in my guitar collection. I would have bought an American Strat, only because I appreciate guitars that hold their value as an investment, except that this one was the only one on Fenders website that had a 12" neck radius and a wider nut width. As with my acoustics and with my Gibsons, I prefer a wider neck. At first I was trying too hard to get my Gibson tones and Humbucker sounds while playing this guitar. I thought that the pickups were weak. One day while I was feeling creative, I was playing something that was just almost right then it occurred to me that what I was missing was that particular Stratocastor sound. I plugged it in and feel in love all over again. I have since realized and come to appreciate the distinct chime-like overtones and awesome sustain of a true Fender Stratocaster.
I have already went on too long....
High quality
As good as ANY American made strat
Great looks
Great sound
Great playing guitar

Amazing guitar!

By Mike Jones

from Warner Robins, GA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I picked up one of these a few months ago and havent put it down since! The pickups are perfectly quiet. It may not work for all styles of play, but if you play rock or blues this is definately your match. The craftsmanship is perfect, no flaws whatsoever. The gold parts on the brown pickguard and blue body really stand out beautifully. I wish I couldve gotten it with a maple neck instead of a rosewood, but then again this rosewood definately feels better than any of the other guitars I've played. For this price, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

Deluxe Player's Strat.

By Paul Roberts

from Hackensack, NJ

Comments about Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I ordered mine in Honey Blonde & rosewood board.Really nice workmanship & features.Pickups were quiet. Set-up was not that great & could have played better considering the 12" radius.Decided to return it and take an American Std. Strat. Overall the Mexican made Deluxe Players Strat is a good value for the price!
