Comments about Fender Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

What can I say out of the box it's a great guitar for the price. I wanted a second guitar to compliment my white Modern Player. Fender discontinued that Stratocaster as far as I know. The Lonestar fit the bill. I like the tremelo better on the Lonestar then the Modern Player. There is more play in it and it is not as stiff.
The tones are real sweet and clean. It's hard to figure out where to set it, I guess it's a tonal mood thing. You will enjoy this guitar if you pick one up for yourself.

Humbucking Strat

By MATT

Comments about Fender Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I tried Les Pauls on multiple occassions, owned 2, including a Gibson, and just couldn't dig it, man. I am a Fender man through and through, but I wanted a humbucker that wouldn't break the ol' piggy bank. Though its a mexi, this strat is solid. Love the 70s headstock, ocean turqouise, and maple fretboard. The humbucker is warm and has a great output. I would describe it as a little bit on the treble end of a humbucker, but I would expect that from a strat. It sounds great with overdrive and distortion. The coil splitting option is nice for a quick change over. It plays easy right out of the box and stays in tune!

Versatile Guitar!

By James

from Maynard, MA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

The Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster has to be the most versatile guitar I own. The 'voices' the Lone Star is capable of are amazing. You can go from playing metal with the strong humbucker at the bridge to rock, country as well as soothing mellow jazz & blues tones from the Texas Specials at the middle & neck. A great feature is the ability to split the bridge humbucker to play it as a single coil pickup. Fender really outdid themselves on this model packing high quality pickups into a beautifully built quality guitar. Fit & Finish is excellent, even the gig bag is a very nice touch. The Ocean Turquoise color is beautiful as is the maple fretboard. This truly is a smooth playing guitar with great sounds, and it's a great value as well. I'm sold on the Deluxe series of Stratocasters coming out of the Mexican facility.

Good guitar for the price...

By JOHN

from Chambersburg PA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Very playable, nice options sound wise with the humbucker and like the other strats I've owned, very easy to adjust the action to your own liking. In writing that, the ONLY reason this didn't get the 5th star is like most strats, you'll probably have to throw away the tremolo bar and lock down the bridge or it'll be a tuning nightmare!! I had mine locked down literally within hours after getting it out of the box and it's been rock solid ever since. Good Purchase!!!

LoneStar, Pt. 2

By Warren SIsk

from Burlington, WA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Lone Star Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Bought yet another Ocean Turquoise because I am a huge fan of these guitars (obviously). The consistency of these guitars is pretty remarkable, aside from the varying weights - the latest one came in approx. 5 oz. heavier than my first one, and the neck actually feels a smidge thicker; whatever it is, this second one just hits the spot completely as a result. Fantastic product for the price.
