Fender Dual Bass Gig Bag Practical Applications

By Don Rousell

from Acworth, GA

Over all I say Fender did a good job designing an inexpensive gig bag. That said, they could have charged a little more and made an excellent gig bag. First, they should have repositioned the handle so that the bag does not nose dive when picked up. Secondly, use a little heavier or more substantial fabric and volla, "A Great Gig Bag." I would be willing to pay $75.00 to $100.00 for something that would last for 3 years instead on maybe one, after all you are carring two very expensive basses. Hope this helps.

How can anyone rate this less than great?

By Frank Bello

from Huntington, NY

As far as gig bags go, this one tops the list. Its very well constructed. Instruments fit securely in the bag. Yes, I said "instruments." I carry both a Fender Bass and a Les Paul in this bag because it has two compartments. Lots of storage space for cables, pick, pedals. So, given its a gig bag, and the price, and it's quality, you can't go wrong.

Its what you get for $50 bucks

By Daniel Pierson

from NJ

I had the Gator Double Slinger bag and exchanged for this to save a few bucks.... If the Gator had should straps I would have kept it. The Fender bag is nice, pretty good quality, just feel it doesn't provide the best protection. If you squeeze the bag hard enough, you can feel your basses thru it.... This I don't like.... I will use caution, but, overall good buy... I really wanted the MONO bag, but, that's $300!!

Good quality. More balanced than I expected.

By James Taylor

from Ohio

I picked this because the great price and high rating. I almost passed it up for a more expensive bag with different handle placement because one one reviewer said the handle placement resulted in the neck hanging too low. I found it to hang parallel to the ground with one or two Carvin 5 string basses and a multi-effects pedal in the large pocket. Easy enough to carry and load into the back of a van. The backpack part works fine too.

Fender Double Bass Gig Bag

By Harry Thoman

from Carrollton, TX

Great bag, was able to toss my old gig bag and hard case to combime both basses in one bag. Very durable thus far and plenty of pockets. Just hope the straps last which appear thin for the weight they must support.

Looks great, way better than the price would suggest

By Robert See

from Massachusetts

Admittedly, I just received this so I can't comment on durability. Functionally, though, this is a solid bag with big storage pockets. I particularly like the ability to carry two basses in a bag as I shrink my rig. With this bag, a micro-sized head and a 2x12 cab, I can load in or out in a single trip while still carrying a backup guitar. There are better bags with more padding and more durable-feeling cordura, but they are also much more expensive. The straps are just okay, but they are replaceable so I can hook on a better-padded strap from an old golf bag. A nicer strap would be a great idea considering we're talking about a case that will run 20-25 pounds with a couple basses in it and maybe a cable or two in the pockets. I would never carry mine backpack-style, but the option is there for those who want it.

Super sturdy - Best value

By Dave from Cleveland

from Clevel., Ohio

Better quality than photos can show. Loads of pockets and storage compartments. Sturdy straps and rings. Plenty of padding between the two instrument compartments. Long enough for some of the oddly-shaped basses. Handy for carrying a bass and a guitar to studio or gig. If you carry a backup instrument, this is the purchase for you.
