Deluxe Blackout Telecaster

By Ryan

from Ohio

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar a few weeks ago and it's way better than I expected it to be. Don't let the low price fool you, this guitar is awesome. It looks really great but what i like best is how easy it is to play. I find the neck really comfortable to play on compared to the other guitars I tried. Also, the sound is amazing! The three vintage single-coil pickups give you a lot of versatility so you can play all kinds of different music. Great guitar. Great value. Telecasters rule.

Excellent Buy, Great Quality for the Money

By Dan Bailey

from Davie, FL

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I received my new Tele Blackout in the mail about 1 week from purchase date. Right out of the box, the guitar played perfectly. The sound that comes from the middle pickup is insane. Great lows and even better highs. The tinted neck gives for a nice vintage look and the black on black it can't get any better. Excellent buy. Quality 10. Would recommend this guitar to anyone.

Woah

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

when i picked up this guitar i was completely blown away by the sound. This guitar has the nicest clean sound no matter what volume you have it at. The single coils give it way more versatility that most other telecasters give you, and the black on black color looks awesome. DO NOT let the price fool you, this guitar is incredible.

NICE!

By Desyatnik R. Etherly

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I was skeptical about this guitar when I learned that it was made in Mexico, however, all my fears were ill founded. This thing sounds great and the price is unbeatable. I did modify mine a little bit, though. I slapped on a bigsby b5 and did a little bit of work on the electronics, and it now sounds as good as I could have ever hoped for. A very well built guitar.

All about playability

By Ron

from Holland, MI

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I couldn't believe how easy this guitar plays. The neck just feels right. Really nice sized as well, nice weight. Sounds phenomenal. I play it through a Marshall JTM610, the clean channel has everything you could ever want. Well worth every penny. Good luck finding a used one..that usually tells the story, no one gets rid of them.

Perfect?

By Morgan

from Middleville, MI

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

First off, Astetically speaking, this Guitar is Beauitful. The Black on Black, combined with the chrome hardware and Maple Neck (which feels and looks amazing, very playable), makes this one of the most georgeous guitars I've ever laid eyes on. Sound-wise, This tele is Mindblowing! Of course, It's clean tones are angelic. I mean, absolutly amazing. But, Kick up the gain a bit, and I was suprised how well this Tele sounds with Insane distortion. I play all styles of music, and this Tele is extremely versitle, I recomend it to anyone. The only fault I can seem to find with this guitar is if you get too close to something like a TV, it hums and feedsback a bit. Anyway, buy this guitar, It's Awesome.

Plays like a Tele, has flexibility of a Strat

By Jeff

from Temecula CA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I never thought I would want a Tele until I played this model, then I fell in love with it and had to have one. I love the way this guitar feels - it is not curvey like my Strat, but feels very comfortable with a very playable neck. It's also a very good looking guitar with the black-on-black body / pick guard, the nice chrome hardware, and the maple fingerboard. It is also extremely versatile with its 3 pickup configuration. The bridge pickup was on par with my expectation, but the middle and neck pickups have really great tone. And obviously, with the middle pickup, you gain some of the tonal flexibility as available with the Strat in the "2", "3", and "4" switch positions. Finally, this is my fifth guitar, but first with a maple fingerboard. I am really enjoying the look and feel of the maple.

Can't beat it!

By Tim Drake

from Pittsburg, CA

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I initially walked into the store expecting to leave with a highway one Strat I had played a few days prior, but as I was walking down the aisle I saw the Blackout Tele hanging there and couldn't resist grabbing it and checking it out. Once I had it in my hands I completely forgot about the Strat! This thing is awesome. With looks to kill and still the old school Tele tones; with more versatility thanks to the 3-pickup setup, this guitar really is the complete package for the price. The pickups are very responsive to the little nuances in my playing style and deliver everything from a sweet bell-like clean tone to a gritty snarl. I couldn't be more pleased. So needless to say, I left the store that day with the Blackout Tele (I call mine "the Hot Rod" thanks to the awesome black/chrome theme) and I still catch myself grinning when I pick it up. If you're considering this guitar, play one and you'll be sold!

Better that I expected.

By Michael

from West Paterson, New Jersey

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I was forced to sell one of my old Fender Esquire to get this beast, but I don't regret it one bit. This Telecaster is a standard Telecaster on steroids. We're talkin' 3 single coils, a five-way Stratocaster-style pickup selector, and it's black on black. When I first saw this Tele, I did Blackout for a split second. I just had to have it.

Great guitar for great price

By joey noble

from deerfield illinois

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

this guitar is just amazing! it has great looks and sounds awsome! you can put it on a clean to and play some open chords or kick up some heavy distortion and shred! i found very few flaws with this guitar which was suprising to me becouse this was made in mexico. the only thing i recomend is that the frets will tend to crack and get little slits that the strings kind of get stuck into but besides that its amazing!

Very Nice...

By Jim Franklin

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Loved the Black on Black, Loved the 5 way switch and the extra pick up. I installed Vintage noiseless pickups and put and American made Rosewood neck, which makes look and sound even better, Now it's a absolute Tone machine. Built the perfect BEAST!

The most beautiful guitar I've ever played.

By Lys

from tallahassee, florida

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I received this guitar as a graduation present back in 2008. It still is my buddy, my go to guitar. I couldn't imagine life without it. You could get a traditional tele, all power to you. But this guitar has the flexibility of a strat while maintaining that tele sound. The ultimate guitar. I love the tiny different flavors it offers. Btw, I'd give it 15 stars if I could

Continues to Impress

By Rick Langdon

from Raleigh, NC

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I have always enjoyed the Telecaster and the Stratocaster each for their own voice and merits. But this Blackout Tele is special from the tones to the appearance ... very solid and I particularly like... read more [+] the neck feel of this guitar (and the aged tint of the maple) After many months of ownership: I enjoy this Tele more the longer I have it. If you like both the Strat and Tele and can't decide, I highly recommend you try this one out. I cut my teeth on a Strat and thought that is what I wanted but I also like Tele's. When I found this one, I found a Tele that can definitely go into "Strat Territory". Sure it is not a Strat, but I have to say that it may be the next best thing to having one of each. Consider adding the very inexpensive push-pull tone control mod that allows you to invoke the neck pickup on demand (for that classic Tele bridge/neck combo tone) and then you will have one very versatile and enjoyable Fender guitar

Best Tele I've Owned

By Stephen Neme

from Grand Prairie, TX

Comments about Fender Deluxe Blackout Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've had a few Telecasters since I started playing guitar. Standard, HSS, and Thinline, and I have to say that this is the best Telecaster I've played. I actually sold a baritone Telecaster to afford this one, and I couldn't be happier with that decision. This guitar is amazing and sounds great clean or a little over-driven, even with heavy distortion. I've pushed the pickups on this guitar and found it to be extremely expressive, every position provides something something different, and I expect that this guitar will stand up to the beating I'm sure to give it over the years.
