Overview

Fender and Dave Murray have collaborated on yet another ferocious signature model for the longtime Iron Maiden guitarist. The Dave Murray California Series Stratocaster is inspired by Murray's longtime onstage go-to guitar, combining time-honored Strat tradition with the modern roar of three Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, the fast feel of a compound-radius fingerboard, and the high-performance reliability of a Floyd Rose bridge and nut.

Comments about Fender Dave Murray Signature HHH Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Guitar is solid, no problems with the materials or electronics. No flaws in the finish, looks exactly like the photos on the web site. Action was very good out of the box. I had the guitar setup with a local luthier who fixed the Tremelo. The Original Floyd Rose was very stiff originally.

Guitar plays extremely easy, and feels very fast. The pickups sound great through my amp. The two hotrails pickups are very hot and bright, even the neck pickup sounds bright and loud. The JB Jr not so much, but that pickup gives you a nice normal strat sound and I found is really nice for clean playing.

If your looking for dual humbucker strat like I was, you might want to consider this Dave Murray Guitar. It has the looks, play ability and sound and a third humbucker in the middle position to boot. I think it is a great guitar for the money and I got a very nice deal on it here at GC.

I say go for it. I like mine.

Comments about Fender Dave Murray Signature HHH Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Ive owned this Dave Murray signature stratocaster for a little over a year now, and it is one of my favorite guitars in my arsenal. I am a huge Iron Maiden fan and i bought this guitar to get as close as I can to Dave Murray's tone. I have to say this guitar offers so much more! It feels and sounds amazing right out of the box, the finish is so nice with the pearl pickguard and makes this guitar beautiful. I did have to do some minor adjustments for my liking on how it feels. All i did to the guitar was lower the action a little bit and i was all set. The neck and playability on this guitar is superb. Everything feels effortless. Bends, chords, scales, solos, harmonics all feels effortless. The Seymour Duncan pickups sound awesome. The hotrails are really hot and bright, they also clean up very nicely on a clean setting. The JB jr in the middle is really warm. It sounds really good when I split it with the hotrails. This makes a really interesting combination in my opinion, its all for the better though. The floyd rose makes this guitar stay in tune no matter how hard you shred, but the floyd was a little stiff out of the box. All and all I love this guitar and im gonna keep it forever. This guitar gives you a wide variety of tones from blues to heavy metal.

Comments about Fender Dave Murray Signature HHH Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar rocks! You really get a lot of bang for the buck with a pair of Seymour Duncan Hot Rails sandwiched around a JR Jr., as well as an Original Floyd Rose. The tuning stability is unbelievable with the (almost) flat mounted Floyd. My only complaint is the action it came from the factory with, it was atrocious-close to half an inch...yikes! Once I did a full setup, it is fantastic.

Comments about Fender Dave Murray Signature HHH Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Quality is perfect- cannot find anything wrong with it. Sound is great, with the SD Hot Rails giving incredible tone. I can now see why Dave Murray always plays with the Neck p-u. My Powerslave solo now sounds right. My previous Strat (a mid 80s good quality Squire with DiMarzio p-u's) never sounded this good. The Floyd Rose has functioned perfectly and is a great addition to great guitar.

Comments about Fender Dave Murray Signature HHH Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Well built guitar for the money! The neck is a slimmer version of most strays I have played. It's a fast neck. I do not like the tuners ( vintage) or the pickups I find the hot rails and JB jr are wimpy. I put regular humbuckers and new tuners. It's my main guitar now.
