I play in several different tunings regularly, so I needed an alternate guitar to tune lower than my others. I decided on this guitar basically because it has the Fender name, is economical, and is pretty. I am generally satisfied with it, but it has its shortcomings. First of all, the sound is not spectacular--the volume is a little muted and the sound is not as bright as I would like. Secondly, and more importantly, the action is absurdly high. I had to have it taken in for an $80 adjustment to lower the action because otherwise it's nearly impossible to play w/o giving yourself arthritis. I also play with medium gauge strings...couple that with the high action on this guitar and you've got one sore fretting hand. The bridge pins also come really wedged in there from the factory. The aesthetics of the guitar are great, though. Very pretty instrument. I would recommend it for a 2nd/3rd guitar.
