I bought this guitar at a local Guitar Center and im amazed by it. I recommend this guitar to anybody.
I've been playing for a couple decades and have played all kinds of guitars, but I have start by saying this guitar has it all: from comfortability, great design, great action and the tone is rich, deep and crystal clarity. The DG200SCE has a bit nicer sound and more comfortable playability than my Martin acoustic that I paid three times more for. If your looking for a great overall acoustic-electric guitar with a very reasonable price, it aught to be a Fender DG200SCE!
I don't own one but just played on a friends and got really surprised by how good and easy this guitar feels and sounds. It's a light guitar, at least compared to my Ovation, and plays loud and clear like you would expect from "higher level" guitars. Tunes very easily too....and it stays in tune! Overall I just had to leave a comment because I think it's very rare to find out and come across good surprises for such a good price range. If you have the money, just buy it.
I have been very impressed with this guitar. I had only played a hand full of acoustic guitars before I got this one. I took the sales dudes recommendation on this guitar and am pleased he steered me this way. Since I have purchased this guitar I have played three other guitars and all were at minimum twice as expensive and only one I felt was a better tone and action but not much better especially since this guitar was about a $900 guitar. I have played it for about 9 months nearly daily w/o issues. Amp/tuner is great when I get tired of pure acoustic. I have a small Fender amp with some effects from electric guitars this rosewood guitar sounds rich even thru some heavy effects. Overall pretty happy and see no flaws.
I've never really been a serious guitar player, but this one makes me wanna play every day! I had a Fender Stratocaster Deluxe Series and a Johnson Acoustic (hand me down). I started getting into music again after the military and not knowing that Fenders had a bad rap in the past with acoustics...played this in the store and just marveled at the sound. If I'd know guitars could sound this good...I'm 35 and I would have picked something like this out a LONG time ago. And only $400! I couldn't imagine how high-end Martins and Taylors could sound. Such warm tone and it resonants for about 4-5 secs after striking the strings. Buy it if you want a reasonably priced guitar that looks and sounds good as well!
Overall this guitar is great! It has a wonderful finish and nice tone. It stays in tune all the time. It is great for all kinds of music. It has a nice Fishman pickup in it with a Volume, Bass, Middle, and Treble control and includes a built-in tuner which is really handy. The only complaint I have is that I'm having a problem with the pickup inside. It might just be that I unluckily got a faulty pickup or something but I'm not for sure. I have owned this guitar for about 2 years now, and that is the only problem I have encountered so far. This is definitely a great buy!!
The DG200SCE is an amazing guitar!!! While it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy it is a VERY well made guitar. It produces a deep yet surprisingly even tone, and due to the solid spruce top, it projects its sound far better than most other guitars. The "Fishman" pickup/tuner does a wonderful job and is easy-as-pie to use. Between the rosewood back and sides, the gold tuners and pegs, and the mosaic inlay around the sound hole it is stunning to look at. I am convinced that this guitar is the best in its price range, and it has no trouble competing with guitars in a higher range. Overall, I am ecstatic with my purchase!
