I've had this guitar for a little over a month so far, and it hasn't disappointed me yet! Originally I was planning to buy a Yamaha F335, but when I picked the DG-60 up, the sound was much fuller and had a better tone than the F335. This guitar has a big body (bit heavy) and has a slim neck. Surprisingly the neck is more slim than my Squier Strat. electric guitar. It has a nice low action and sounds great.

I love this guitar sounds good and everything but the only problem I have with it is that the finish is cracking by its self and i only had it for like 2 months

Good cheap acoustic

By Nicholas

from Paris, IL

I bought this because its the same fender acoustic my dad owns so I knew it was good and knew what I was getting and I'm glad I ordered the same one. Its nice looking and plays and sounds real good. Also didn't have to wait on it, like the other I was going to get it was on back order and wasn't even as good. I received this one within 4 days of ordering. Another good buy!

Can't believe I found it

By Troy

from Harrodsburg, KY

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years. I've had some really good ones (Gibsons, Fenders, etc.), and some really bad ones. I was searching for a cheap acoustic guitar that sounded and played good, something I could grab quickly without worry. Not too much to ask, right? After looking around and reading dozens and dozens reviews, I settled on this guitar (in black) and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I got it for a ridiculously low price plus free shipping. I am absolutely amazed at how well this guitar plays and sounds. I would definitely recommend this guitar.

Awesome guitar for the price.

By Ravinder

from Los Angeles, CA

I went into my local Guitar Center to pickup some strings for my electric guitar (also on sale) and I ended up walking out with this bad boy. I'd been looking around for an acoustic guitar, but hadn't found one that I liked, until I found this. They had it up for sale at $89. Can't beat that for a bargain. I googled before buying it, and it was genuinely up for $179.99 everywhere else. So this was no joke. Deal of the century. I messed about with the display model for a while and it seemed to produce very good sound. So I got me one :o) Great buy.

A great travel guitar!

By CARL

from SLC, Utah

I have had this guitar for about 6 months now and I love it! It has become my go to guitar for taking to class, practice / playing with the family, and playing around the campfire while camping. It gets more love than my Hummingbird! The sound it great (with a new set of strings) and the out of the box action did not need any tweeking to make it very playable. Easy to play, nice tone and sustain. Fender has made a winner here of those on a budget or someone looking to a cheaper guitar to travel with.

Better than expected

By clifford

from Spring Hill, Fl.

I bought the Fender DG-60 for my granddaughter since she has recently taken up the guitar. She was playing on a classical guitar with nylon strings. I have been playing the guitar for 40 years. I have played cheap guitars and $5000 guitars. I currently play a Guild D-25 that is 41 years old. The DG-60 plays every bit as smooth as the Guild does. Of course you are not going to get the kind of sound from a laminate guitar that you do from a 40 year old Guild but I must say, I was blown away by how bright the highs were and how clean and sustained the lows were. I do not know how Fender is offering this kind of playability and quality construction at this price point. I have played guitars in the $1000 price range that did not sound as good or play as smooth. Guitar Center took my order online for pickup at a store near where my Daughter lives. Service was great and the guitar was available when promised. Can't ask for more. You could actually use this guitar as a primary instrument and the average listener would never know you had a sub $200 instrument. Absolutely wonderful value.

Fender DG-60 Black Beauty

By gary

from Palm Springs, CA

I bought my Fender accoustic this morning at the Palm Springs Guitar Center which just opened this past April. My first guitar was an Ovation Balladeer that I bought not far from the factory in West Hartford , CT. in 1976. At that time I chose the red model over the black one (tough choice) but I've always pined for a black accoustic. In May I put on layaway at GC a used Esteban which would have become available to me tomorrow. The reviews were not good but is was black and the price was right (very cheap)..but it was black...Well, this morning I was reading my daily email from GC and saw that the DG-60 was on a Father's Day sale and it was less than $ 130...and they had it in black, 4 in fact at the Palm Springs store. No brainer, in less than 30 min. I was at the store to cancel my layaway and purchase the new, out-of-the-box Fender. It fit into my hands like it was made for me and it played beautifully. (And oh-yeah, it fits into the Keith Urban molded case perfectly.) I am estatic, I love it. I now have 2 Ovations, a Keith Urban (a present from girlfriend), a nylon string I bought in Nicaragua and now my Fender Black Beauty. Thanks Guitar Center!

DG - 60 Fender

By Gary Davis

from Newton Ma.

This Fender DG-60 acoustic guitar is a black beauty. I purchased the guitar for my sons birthday but I am having a hard time not keeping it for myself. The quality of the guitar and the service with which to purchase it was excellent. I am truly happy dealing with Guitar Center and thrilled at the price. I feel I made out on this deal and would highly recommend Guitar Center. I have already ordered other items and I am looking forward on doing business with this company.

was going to sell mine, but......

By Terry Hayes

from Minneapolis MN

I couldn't. It's just too good. I have way too many guitars, including a really nice Seagull S6 and others more expensive than this one. I figured that since this was the cheapest, I should probably get rid of it and just play my more expensive geets. But there was a reason I bought it in the first place. Picked it up on a random visit to GC, took one strum and couldn't believe a cheap guitar with a laminate top could look, sound, and play so good. After three years it's still in perfect shape and sounds just as good. I will never sell it. Not for a million bucks. Well, maybe a million bucks. But not a penny less.
