I just wanted a cheap guitar...I've got a Casino, Strat, Royal dobro, and an Epiphone 12-String...but I wanted a "knock around" guitar...I just love this thing...very playable...good to work out songs on and then grab the Strat without much transition in fingering...would have preferred the black but all they had on hand at the store was natural...no big deal though...I put the strap locks on it so I can sling it case-less and bring it with on the bike or by the pool...without being overly worried about its cost and safety. I know I will have this one for the duration.

Keeping it real: I kinda preferred the sound of Epiphone's similar models, (PR/DG), but they felt kind of cheap..had that laminate texture..and Fender necks just seems to work perfectly for me.

The Strap Button on the Top...by the Heel...I much prefer that to connecting at the Head.

DG-60

I love this guitar sounds good and everything but the only problem I have with it is that the finish is cracking by its self and i only had it for like 2 months

Pretty good so far

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I've had this guitar for a little over a month so far, and it hasn't disappointed me yet! Originally I was planning to buy a Yamaha F335, but when I picked the DG-60 up, the sound was much fuller and had a better tone than the F335. This guitar has a big body (bit heavy) and has a slim neck. Surprisingly the neck is more slim than my Squier Strat. electric guitar. It has a nice low action and sounds great.

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I am a 14 year old boy who wanted an acoustic guitar cheap. It was about 160 and it was the best choice i ever made! I wanted to learn and it is perfect for first timers. The action was great out of the box and it came with a decent quality strings on it. It also has a very power full sound. My cousin had a Martin, but the Fender had a better neck then it did. Amazing quality for the price!

For the $$, you can't go wrong

        By George Baia

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar during a Guitar Center Forth of July Sale. The guitar I got sounds and plays great and not just for an inexpensive guitar. It especially plays easy with the action set on the low side AND no fret buzz at all on mine! The strings that came on it were cheap, but no biggie, just replace with your favs. The only thing I really needed to do was condition to fret board. The Indian Rosewood seemed a bit dry, but with a quality fret board conditioner, it took care of that issue. The only other thing I'm going to do is replace the plastic bridge pins with ivory ones. All in all, best $ I ever spent.

        More than I paid for

        By Geoge Strunk

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I am brand new guitarist and this is my first guitar and I've been learning daily now for about a week and half. With that qualifier out there, I am pleased to report that I am tickled pink with my guitar. For what I paid for it, I couldn't ever ask for more. I am having an easy time reproducing the identical sounds of my on-line instructors, the guitar tunes very easily and it stays in tune even after hours of strumming. It is a great looking guitar (mine is all black) too. I plan to own this guitar for a long time and the quality is such that I can.

        Great investment, not too expensive

        By Seth McCoy

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is exactly what I wanted. I've had it for about 3 months now. It has a great sound at a very resonable price. Before this I had a Lyon which is made by Washburn, so this was a HUGE upgrade from that. This guitar is very easy to play. I can go into any tuning I want without having to worry about the strings breaking like I did on my Lyon. I would definitely recommend the Fender to anyone.

        By Heather Mikkelson

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

So I have been playing guitar for a little over 2 months now and I love it! I went into Guitar Center with NO IDEA as to what to get... I went into the acoustic room and was told I could play whatever I wanted! Wow! I picked up this and that and I kept going back to this beautiful sunburst guitar that I fell in love with! It is a gorgeous guitar with an wonderful sound! A little difficult to hear the higher registers, but the low end is beautiful without being overpowering. If you are looking for a good guitar that is easy to play, this is it! I have rather small hands and short fingers so I was concerned about the spacing of the frets and the width of the neck, but both were great! Hope this helps!

was going to sell mine, but......

        By Terry Hayes

        from Minneapolis MN

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I couldn't. It's just too good. I have way too many guitars, including a really nice Seagull S6 and others more expensive than this one. I figured that since this was the cheapest, I should probably get rid of it and just play my more expensive geets. But there was a reason I bought it in the first place. Picked it up on a random visit to GC, took one strum and couldn't believe a cheap guitar with a laminate top could look, sound, and play so good. After three years it's still in perfect shape and sounds just as good. I will never sell it. Not for a million bucks. Well, maybe a million bucks. But not a penny less.

        Better than expected

        By clifford

Comments about Fender DG-60 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought the Fender DG-60 for my granddaughter since she has recently taken up the guitar. She was playing on a classical guitar with nylon strings. I have been playing the guitar for 40 years. I have played cheap guitars and $5000 guitars. I currently play a Guild D-25 that is 41 years old. The DG-60 plays every bit as smooth as the Guild does. Of course you are not going to get the kind of sound from a laminate guitar that you do from a 40 year old Guild but I must say, I was blown away by how bright the highs were and how clean and sustained the lows were. I do not know how Fender is offering this kind of playability and quality construction at this price point. I have played guitars in the $1000 price range that did not sound as good or play as smooth. Guitar Center took my order online for pickup at a store near where my Daughter lives. Service was great and the guitar was available when promised. Can't ask for more. You could actually use this guitar as a primary instrument and the average listener would never know you had a sub $200 instrument. Absolutely wonderful value.
