This amp has absolutely amazing tone. You hear that in nearly every review - tone, tone, tone, but that's to be expected in the reviews of tonal legends like a Fender Twin Reverb, of which I am also in love with. What makes this exceptional is that this is the first digital/modelling amp I've used that really had tone I could fall in love with, even though the rest are decent. It's not nearly as feature-filled as a Line 6 Vetta II or a PODxt, and doesn't offer nearly that level of control, but what those other products lack is pure, nearly undadultered amp models, with tone that reaches the soul. The effects are quite good, although I wouldn't exactly call them the selling point of this amp, but they are very usable and offer a high level of control for us FX freaks, much unlike those in an AVT or an MG amp. They're not models of other popular effect units like with Line 6's Vetta II, but they're great sounding. The price is a little high, but when it comes to tone this thing is all aces. I'm in love with it.

I purchased this amp, thinking that I was stepping up from my Line6 Flextone II. I took it back in less than three days, and got my amp back for sure. This thing has a billion presets and none of them sound very clean. I played through them for 2 days straight and could not find any of the 'classis' Fender tones that are promised in the manual or advertising. I am a huge fan of Fender's analog amps, but this thing did not pass the test. Save the money and get a Vetta II for near the same price and much higher quality.

I'm hooked on this amp!

By Teleman

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

Over the past 45 years, whew has it been that long, I have played through too many different amps and combinations. Once I got hold of the Cyber Twin I was finished looking. I know all those purists out there will tell me that they have 15 amps blah blah blah. Great, do you carry all 15 around with you? It is by far the best amp I have owned!!! It does take some time to to get the feel for it and get it to do what you want, but once you've gotten it down, it will do the job.

Great Amp Great Tone

By StratBogFullTube

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I do not own the Cyber Twin SE but I do own the regular Cyber Twin. I am a user of tube amps and never use solid state ones excluding this. It has great tone and has the response and dynamics you would expect from the amp it is modeling. Although, I would not even call it a modeling amp...It is much better than that. Value wise, the amp is worth much more than it costs. It is of much higher quality of build and sound than amps like the vox valvetronix or the line 6 Vetta. It truly is a great amp even for those musicians who use analog effects and tube amps.

Great sound and lots of it

By Dave

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I have had 2 Cyber Twins, the first edition and now the SE... I have been playing for 35 years and went thru all of the phases and trends, the stacks and such, and this amp keeps me amazed. Now I only play out on weekends and even though it's heavy, it's not bad compared to what I used to haul around. Once you dial it in it is so versitle that you can literally set it up for the night and go thru the programs. Amazing sound at any level with all of my guitars. I use a cry baby on the side and there is no end to the tones I can get.... great, great, great amp

Simplicity and great tone

By All 4 JC

from O-side Ca.

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I bought this amp when I was trying to figure out what kind of tone best suited me. I wanted to use the settings on the Cyber to set the knobs on my other amps. Sort of a cheater way. Anyhow, you cannot go wrong with this amp. I actually use it as a vocal simulator and run a mike into it on either the ear candy or acoustisonic setting. Another cool thing you can do is run a mike and a guitar into an A/B box and adjust your guitars volume using it's own knobs. This way you can use your Cyber as a P.A. If you can afford it, go for it. Great amp and you'll never get tp the end of all the possible settings.

Why want more?

By CrazyJoe

from Palmdale, CA

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

This could very well be the only amp you'll ever need. If you love the Fender amps then you'll find them all in this amp. It even has presets for other well known amps as well as presets of the classic sounds that we've come to know and love. In addition to all the preset, it contains an array of effects. I found myself not having to plug in half a dozen stomp boxes to achieve the sounds that I want. This is not a modeling amp, it becomes the amp that you choose or design. I can?t believe that anyone can go wrong with the Cyber-Twin.

Very Cool Amp

By Ken

from Lompoc, California

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I have had the orginal version of this amp for six or so years. I keep thinking I want a tube amp rather than this hybrid style Cyber Twin, but every time I play a tube amp next to the Cyber Twin I like the Cyber Twin sound better. Of course individual taste will determine what you like best but this amp sounds great and it is amazing all of the different sounds that it can emulate. It really is like owing multiple Fender Amps. The two twelve inch speakers produce awesome sound and have proven that they can take high volume. If you want to play late at night while the rest of the house sleeps it is easy with the headphone jack that is standard on the rear of the amp. This is a fun amp to play and the combinations of sounds are almost limitless. You will also have fun creating new sounds. You can use this amp in almost any venue and it holds up. You can play about any style music with the Cyber Twin. It makes you a country star or a rock star with the turning of a dial or pressing the footswitch. This amp makes playing fun and exciting.

Good Amp

By americnidiot

from Pennsylvania

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I just got one of these amps used from a friend. I like soem of the digital effects on the amp and some are not as well done. Its not a tube amp, but it is still relatively high quality. I think for the money, there are better amps, but this is a decent amp. It is powerful enough for a small to medium gig. I also like the feature of the knobs turning automatically when you switch effects. This is a decent amp, but you could probably get more for the money.

Great Stuff

By The Fett

from CT

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

I am picking up my Cyber Twin SE this weekend so I don't officially own it yet but I have spent a lot of time playing it at my local store.I tried out a lot of amps looking for the right sound and well, I found it. I am done with the phase in my musical taste where I want the nasty heavy metal tone. If that is what you are looking for, keep looking. This isn't the amp for you. But if you want a classic Fender sound and a lot of great effects (some I will probably never use) this is a great choice. The price is a little high so if can get it at a used price...it's an even better deal. I haven't played it with a Fender strat yet but I bet it sounds great. If you go try one, try out the "acoustic" simulator (or whatever it's called) I think it's called "Ear Candy" in the presets. That is what solidified it for me.

Over Priced and not that good

By James

from Denton Texas

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp:

This amp does have tons of different digital effects, but none of them sound that great. If you play anything that is distorted it sounds lifeless and sterile. If you try and play a chord on any of the Distortion effects it just ends up sounding like mud. The effects settings also donۡt give you much control of the effect like a traditional pedal would. My suggestion to anyone who is looking to buy an amp is to find out what you want to sound like and buy accordingly; donۡt just buy an amp because it has tons of effects buy an amp because it sounds awesome. The reason I know so much about this amp is because my room-mate has one
