Comments about Fender Classic Player Baja 60's Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

All I can say is that this guitar is great. I have been looking for a telecaster for a while, and I finally picked this one up in Candy Apple Red, a color which looks fantastic, but unfortunately may have recently been discontinued as it no longer appears on the Fender website.

The guitar feels very well constructed, and the neck is very comfortable and easy to play despite the lacquer. The pickups sound amazing, very sweet and clear, the way single coil pickups are supposed to sound. The bridge pickup really amazes me. It's not to spiky like some Tele bridge pickups, but it still gets that signature twang. It really shines, however, when you step on a good drive pedal and play some classic rock.

The fourth position on the selector switch is great. The only way I can describe it is as a mix between a Gretsch and the fourth position on a Strat. Definitely adds to the versatility of the guitar. The S1 switch is pretty cool, and might be useful for chicken pickin, but I mostly just use it for fun when I'm noodling around at home as I haven't personally found a reason to use it while gigging. It doesn't subtract anything from the guitar and it's nice to know that it's there if I ever need it.

All in all, it's an amazing guitar. I don't think I'll ever feel the need to replace it or spend more money on one that's made in the U.S.
