Great Guitar!

By Matt Z

from Clifton Park NY

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CD-100 Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar a few days ago at a local guitar center, unfortunatly this was the only left handed acoustic guitar they had in there....fortunatly its an amazing guitar, if has so much body, its extreamly rich...less bright than other guitars(which is wonderful to me). It has wonderful bass as well as high notes. The woodwork is great, and the natural color is great! The tuning machines work great, and everything is perfect about this guitar, I traded in an older acoustic, and im very happy I did, this guitar was originaly $329 on sale for $229 plus the $60 dollars I got from trading in the old guitar...if your a left handed player looking for a great guitar, from a great and well known brand, get this Fender cd100LH, you will be happy you did!!!

This guitar is not worth it

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CD-100 Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for 4 years. Always played left handed guitars. This fender cd100 is my LEAST favorite guitar. If it weren't for the terrible selection us left handers have to choose from i honestly would have never bought it. I just don't like the done it gives. It might be okay for a first guitar, but other than that i suggest you stay away from this guitar.

WOW.. maybe mine is a fluke..

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CD-100 Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

this thing just sings, it does not sound like a low end guitar but its priced as one. I am not sure if all the CD-100's sound this good or if i was lucky and awesome one. I own a Taylor 310CE and a Martin D-28, now I own a Fender CD-100 after my recent trip to the music store. I walked into the acoustic room and saw they had a lefty in the store so I grabbed it off the wall than I saw it was a fender ( i have never liked fender acoustics ) I set down to pay it anyways, after hearing how good it sounded I was expecting it to be a very expensive guitar, when I was done playing it I looked at the price tag and saw it was crazy cheap, just to be sure my ears where not playing tricks on me I picked up a couple of expensive right handed guitars, I can play a right handed good enough to get by. this fender CD-100 sounded just as good, almost as good or even better than some of the much more expensive ones I played so I took it home. after getting home and comparing the sound to my guitars in my house, I am very happy I bought this, I like it better than my martin but I do not like it as much as my taylor I guess the Martin is just too dark sounding for me, I never really bonded with that guitar. My Taylor is bright, sparkly and sound amazing, but some times I wish it had a bit more low end. this fender has a tone that is right in between the two, it has a somewhat dark tone but still has descent brightness, its balanced very well and the over all sound quality is very good. yes I am the crazy guy who likes a low end guitar better than a expensive martin but the martin is just very very dark sounding, its all low end and mids but not much treble which I just don't care for. if I could have played it before I bought it i would not have bought it but being a lefty you usually have to order your guitars so you do not get to play them first. but I got to play this one before I bought it and loved it form the fist chord I played. The fender CD-100 I took home is able to hang with guitars around 2K-3K bucks, Usually I pick up a low end acoustic and it sounds like a cardboard box with strings on it but not this one.

I've had this guitar for about 8 months now and I really like it. Great for beginners. Absolutely love the finish. Great price for us lefties, nothing too special but worth it.

Average Guitar

By David

from Bangor, PA

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CD-100 Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

It's a pretty average guitar, but I guess for the price it's not too bad. It sounds nice immediately after being re-strung, but the brightness and punch fades quickly, usually within a couple days. It's not a very loud guitar, and when you try and compensate for that by having to play loud, it sounds bad with ringing from the frets. It stays in tune pretty good for a low-priced guitar. It's the only acoustic I own, so there isn't much to base it off of, but in all I suppose it's a pretty good guitar for the price. However for a similarly priced guitar, I'd much sooner go with one of the lower-priced Ibanez models, they are better, brighter sounding guitars and also are acoustic electric.
