I was looking for a guitar that I could play at home in the evenings, I went to Guitar Center and the first guitar that caught my eye, was the Fender CD220CE DAO ALL Natural. Since it was the first guitar I picked up, I had not compared it to anything else, but it played well and it looked very sharp. I proceeded to play many other guitars including a few that were several thousand dollars. Now I'm not suggesting that the 220 sounded as good as some of the high-end guitars however it sure had a rich sound. I walked out of the store thinking that I should shop a bit more, however I kept thinking about the Fender, I played the guitar at another GC store and finally ordered it from Guitar Center a few weeks later. The guitar is gorgeous, even nicer than the floor models, it sounds fantastic, big deep rich sound, the finish is simply incredible, so much that I have it sitting on a guitar stand in my living room, The Fishman tuner works very well, however the guitar stays in tune very well! If your thinking about purchasing and economical guitar, that sounds and looks great, look no further!!!
This guitar creates amazing sound. The tone is so rich. I just got it and haven't seen one problem with it. Excellent buy for the price.
Just picked up this guitar and I absolutely love it! Amazing rich sound and beautiful finish from a budget priced Fender! Couldn't justify buying an more expensive guitar after playing with this one. I would recommend this model for the beginner to the more advanced player.
About a month ago I strolled into Guitar Center looking to buy an acoustic guitar. I sat and played a handful of guitars within the mid range price range. This guitar stood out the moment I picked it up. What I like about it The tone is amazing on this guitar. Very comparable to guitars twice the price. It a bassier tone, not bright like most fenders I have tried. The body is glossy and slightly bigger than most acoustics as well. I am assuming that the additional size attributes to the bassier tone. I really like the body, its very comfortable to play and I find myself playing for hours on this thing without a flinch. What I do not like about it This thing does not stay in tune very well. This could just be my opinion, I may have been spoiled a little too much with Grover tuners. Also the built in Fishman EQ/Tuner will drain your battery if you accidentally leave the tuner on. I have accidentally left it on twice already. I wish this thing would have a timeout built in to turn it off. Even though this guitar has some things that bug me I still think its a great guitar because of the great tone quality, and price to performance ratio. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for an acoustic in the mid price range.
Just picked it up today and it is phenominal a deep rich tone and not to mention all the hardware all at an affordable price
