I was HIGHLY impressed with this Fender guitar. My grandparents surprised me with it and I loved it. I just put Elixir Custom light gauge .011 polyweb strings, and it sounds like a Taylor when you close your eyes. I love the pick guard, too. I HIGHLY recommend it.
I love this guitar! Great look, and the tortoise-shell pick guard is pretty! Also, it sounds great.
I have played guitar for 15 years now and my wife and I go out and play acoustic gigs from time to time. I own five acoustic guitars, including this one, which I've had for almost a year now. It's consistently been my favorite and I figured it was time to review it. When shopping for a new guitar a while back, I never really considered Fender as a brand for acoustic guitars. Electric, sure. But I was playing all the Taylors and Martins on my hunt for an acoustic. By chance I picked up this thing at Guitar Center and played it and thought "gosh, this sounds almost as good as those $2,000 I was just playing." Bought it that same day -- which I never do (usually a lot of research goes into any purchase over $40 or so!). Now whenever I go into a music store, I play their nicest guitars and think, "how does this compare to my Fender?" While the $2,000+ guitars are indeed a little better than this Fender, it's not by much. Certainly not $1,700 worth, in my opinion. I always walk out very happy with this guitar's performance.
I just loved it! great tune, good feel, good looking, its an awesome guitar! i recommend!
Just recieved the guitar in the mail. Tuned it. As soon as i strummed it fell in love! Didnt get to pay the guitar in the store. I bought it because the great reviews and the price. I recommond this guitar to anyone.
After going through every single acoustic electric guitar on every website you could think of, I kept coming back to this guitar. The price, the electronics, and the cutaway are very appealing. Not to mention all of the positive reviews. I played this guitar at the Riverdale Guitar Center and instantly fell in love. The guitar fits perfectly with the way I play and also has a very impressive low end. This guitar can really belt it! Highly recommend it!
I bought this guitar almost 3 years ago and feel that it's one of the best decisions I've made in purchasing a musical instrument. I had begun performing regularly and was looking for a guitar that could become my workhorse instrument so that I wouldn't be taking my Gibson J100 everywhere. While I was shopping guitars, I was leaning toward a Breedlove until I tried this Fender. The resonance and playability were similar but the Fender cost hundreds less. The built-in tuner has been solid. I've played it through a Fender Passport PA and a Fender Mustang amp and have been very happy with the warm tone and great sound I get. I highly recommend this guitar.
I am COMPLETELY satisfied with this guitar. It looks super nice--MUCH better than the picture-- and plays super nice. I haven't had any problems with it so far, although I've never plugged it into an amp. I recommend visiting your local music store to try it out, and I'd also recommend that you purchase it there. I don't trust them to ship it to me. You can check if your local guitar center has one by typing in your zip code on the pick up in store box if you scroll up. BOTTOM LINE: I love this guitar and it is worth much more than they sell it for. P.S. The strings are Fender Dura-Tone coated 80/20 phosphor bronze (.012-.052 Gauge)
It has a beautiful sound and with this price is pretty affordable. I recommend this guitar for anyone.
After a couple months of research and playing many guitars more expensive, I decided on this one. I have had it for just over a month now and I am as happy as can be with it. Sweet, crisp sounds and the built in tuner is dead on accurate. Save some $ and buy this one, it sounds just as good as 7,8,9 hundred dollar guitars. The online pic doesn't do justice to how pretty the wood is.
