Best bang for your buck!

By

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've owned Fender acoustics since i learned to play (first one, Fender Concord), so believe me when i say this model takes the cake. I am a professional, working musician who plays 5-6 nights a week regularly. This guitar can take all the bumps from the road, spills from careless roadies and still keeps a great tone! The Fishman pick-up goes without saying, being an industry standard. I did have a little trouble with the neck on this model compared to my other ones, but nothing the guys at GC couldn't take care of. If you want a great sounding guitar that can take a beating and still sound good, THIS is your best bet.

Great Guitar for the price

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

great sound, great feel, light and a nice finish. comes with a built in tuner, so no need to buy an additional one. For the price, you really can't beat this type of quality. The next step up would be double the price, so this is a great starter guitar.

Great guitar for it's price range

By

from GJ,CO

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just purchased this guitar yesterday, so I cannot yet vouch for it's reliability or limitations. However...after trying out several electric acoustics in this price range, I was quite surprised at the tonal quality...and well...just the overall quality of it,in general. It's sound is bright and full, yet, not tinny.(for a smaller-body) It's performance from top to bottom seems to be exceptional, and well-balanced, for the $. It sustains quite nicely, too. It's low action makes it suitable for players of all levels. It's got a little weight to it, but it looks good, and is comfortable to play. Plugged in, I would say it meets, and even exceeds what one would expect from this preamp. You can actually get some nice, clean "booming" sounds from this axe...in either direction. Overall, if your looking for money well spent in this price range, you will not be disappointed. Expect to own this for a long time.

Great Value

By

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm actually a bass player, but I wanted an acoustic to mess around with and maybe do some recording down the road. This guitar is an excellent value because it has a solid top, decent tuning keys, built in tuner and low action. I had to tweak the setup some out of the box, but with a slight turn of the truss rod it is playing very well. It's not on par with a nice Taylor or Martin, but it gets the job done for a low price.
