The Fender Band-Master VM amplifier takes the desirable mid-powered tube head concept to "Vintage Modified" performance by combining a real tube amp with a complement of essential effects.
The amp head's 40W tube platform provides a foundation of great tone to build on, and the versatile tube preamp offers a wide range of tone and gain settings”from world-standard Blackface Fender clean to aggressive overdrive with post-gain EQ. Its high-quality Digital Signal Processing platform adds reverb, chorus/vibrato, and delay effects with the convenience and "tweakability" of standard stompboxes without the need for extra cables or power supplies. The Fender Band-Master VM amp head is ideal for onstage versatility and big, fat Fender tone.

I bought this amp not long ago and have to say, I really like it. The clean channel is solid state but still goes through the power tube stage so you still get the warmth of a tube amp, and the drive channel will give you everything from the classic Fender bluesy overdrive to all out hard rock distortion. This is one of the best distortions I've heard on a Fender amp. The reverb and other effects are digital, but VERY good. This amp delivers on all volumes from practice level to gig level. I've been playing guitar for 40 years now and have owned several amps. This one is a keeper.
Fender has hit this one out of the park! Excellent amp, crystal clear sounds on the clean and a killer overdrive. Even the on-board digital effects are awesome, especically the delay and it has that classic Fender reverb. You gotta get this amp!
Fender hit a round-tripper with this little gem... seriously. Although only 40 watts, it's plenty for small to medium sized venues. I run it through a Marshall 1936 cab with V30's and the tonal options are really quite impressive... especially to a lifelong Marshall type of guy. Normally turning up my nose to Fender-type gain channels, this one is actually pleasant to the ears. I play rock, classic rock and blues along with r&b, with this covering all areas.. and then some. Nice usable effects with classic Fender-ish verb, for this price point... you can't go wrong. Would I buy again? Absolutely !
