Comments about Fender Avril Lavigne Newporter Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is quite nice. It has the same size body as my nylon string classical guitar. The action is good with the strings quite near the fret board. The tone is excellent, even more so when amplified. I really enjoy playing this guitar; it is my favorite at the moment. I have been playing guitar for the past 29 years and have had both electric and acoustic guitars like Fender, Ibanez, Ovation, Yamaha, and my very first which I still have: a Maxtone. The only disappointment I have had with this latest guitar was that itwas damaged when it arrived. Apparently it fell at some point and hit the tuning machine head with enough force for the head to break the screws right out of the wood. I had to purchase a set of six tuning heads from the local music shop just to get the correct screws and then fill the holes with glue in order to get the tuning head back in its place. After the quick repair it is playing beautifully!
