Overview

This Left-Handed Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar is true to the original with a premium ash body, a "U"-shaped maple neck, and a 7-1/4" fingerboard radius. As one of the longest-running production models in history, the strength of the Tele guitar lies in its inherent simplicity. It's been modified only slightly in its 40+-year tenure. This American Vintage model features the original Tele circuit with its 3-position switch (update wiring kit is included), original-style 3-saddle brass bridge (a vintage 6-saddle bridge is included) and the ashtray cover. Also true to the original '52 Telecaster, it has a single-ply black pickguard, master volume tone controls, and chrome hardware.

The Only Guitars I Gig With....

By

from Getzville, NY

Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Immediately after purchasing my first '52 reissue Tele and playing it on a gig, I ordered a second. My two '52 reissue Tele's were worth the extra money I paid. I gig steadily in the R&B, Funk, Blues and Jazz genres and I've never played a more versatile guitar over my musical career (42 years and counting). The instruments versatility stems from its very simple design pedigree. These guitars look, feel and most importantly sound EXACTLY like the original '52 Tele. Fender really did this one right!! A masterpiece....

get the '52

By

from Louisa, Va.

Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I bought the left-handed '52 tele four months ago. From the moment i first got it home up until now i've loved it. It's very light weight and well balanced. The '52 pours out heavenly highs and bassie lows and with plenty of mids to go along you can play near anything. Personly the neck is my favorite feature, it's very smooth with a great feel. I was only going to get the american but at only $400 more the '52 seemed like a better choice. I updated the wiring but have left the bridge alone and i couldn't have bought a better guitar.

Finger lickin' good enough to eat!

By

from Sydney, Australia

Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

American Vintage '52 re-issue Tele. I've been playing country rock n' roll on basic Teles in Australia since 1967, and promised myself one of these a couple of years ago. Bought one on a visit to Colorado Springs at Christmas, and man, it's a thoroughbred. Hangs light on the strap with great balance. Plays like ringing a bell with all the 'twang' I'd expected - and the butterscotch nitro even smells like syrup. No fret buzz and the action is low, if sticky (the nitro); but a spray of mist and wipe soon speeds things up. I've stuck with the three saddle bridge - heck, why else do you buy a '52 re-issue. Despite the long flight and temperature change, it's stayed in tune from the word go. Best thing I've ever spent a heap of dough on (apart from the ladies!) I believe that a guitar IS the spirit of the genre of music you play. For me, this Tele is all about Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, and The Stones at their country rock n' roll best. It can be a sweet young thing, or a hard fast momma. So get your hands on one; snap on the ashtray cover, crank up the tube amp, and step back into the '50s and '60s...pure Heaven.

Great Guitar

By

from West Linn, OR

Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

The Fender 52 is the greatest guitar I have ever played. Each time I go into a Guitar Center, I usually just play that guitar. After playing it, few guitars will ever be able to match up.
