Comments about Fender American Standard Precision Bass with Maple Fingerboard:

4 years ago I reviewed this bass, and now I'm back with an update on my weapon of bass destruction! After gigging outdoors for two years, being dropped more than once, being strung BEAD back to EADG, and seeing me n00d, this bass hasn't lost any characteristics it had when I first picked her up. This finish at the forearm contour is beginning to wear, which is perfect! The little dings add personality, and after falling, the neck has no issues, has not bent wrong or warped in anyway. This bass is a TANK! Again, I will say my finish is the now discontinued Candy Cola, and it still sparkles and glimmers when light hits it. The intonation has remained constantly perfect to my standards, and the pickups have this growl and tone I haven't heard on another American Standard since 2012 when the world almost ended! I string her with DR Fat Beams, and I have to say, my bass hasn't sounded better, especially with these strings. Stay traditional people, stay classy, invest in Americas economy and go the extra mile and purchase an American Standard, you won't regret it.

Comments about Fender American Standard Precision Bass with Maple Fingerboard:

This guitar is flawless in every way. When it came in Guitar Center did a few minor adjustments to it. The tone quality is unreal, it plays so smooth. I play small gigs and anybody that knows anything about quality, definitely knows what an Fender American Standard P bass is

Great

Comments about Fender American Standard Precision Bass with Maple Fingerboard:

This bass is great! It sounds so good, the pick ups are 60's style, so you can dial in a good tone. It definitely was a good investment on my part, sounds great with the band, and looks great. I got candy cola with maple, I put white pick up covers on it and it is definitely my one of a kind bass. It stays in tune forever, and playing a MIM Fender I had to tune 2 times a day at least. This MIA bass I've gone 2 weeks without tuning and gigging and it stayed in tune nearly perfect, it just went a tad flat but you could only notice it with a chromatic tuner. I would recommend this bass for all genres from rock to funk. Its a great purchase and Fender did a great job :)
