Infusing the esteemed semi-hollow design with Fender’s latest innovations, the American Elite Telecaster Thinline is for the 21st-century guitarist who embraces innovation in both instrument design and their own playing. Genuine and amazingly flexible Thinline tone, the latest technologies and classic Fender style work in harmony to create an easy-playing instrument you won’t want to put down.

The foundation of the American Elite Series sound, the new 4th generation Noiseless pickups, combine authentic, vintage-style sound with hum-free performance. The pinnacle of Fender’s noiseless pickup designs, they generate glistening cleans and fat, overdriven tones that scream with pure rock ‘n’ roll power. The new Elite Suspension Bridge with three intonatable brass saddles is a unique design engineered specifically for the Thinline Telecaster—a screwless mount increases the vibration transfer, driving the top for nearly endless sustain and lively response.

Engineered for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck with a 9.5”-14” compound radius fingerboard is ideal for all playing styles. A modern “C”-shape at the nut, the profile morphs along the length of the neck to a modern “D”-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics. Locking, all short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the bone nut for buzz-free performance. The truss rod wheel is positioned at the butt end of the neck for easy accessibility when adjusting neck relief.

Fender is renowned for head-turning style, and this guitar is no different—from the lightweight, highly resonant Thinline semi-hollowbody design to the black chrome headstock logo and large pearloid fret markers this instrument will dazzle the audience with elegant style. The American Elite Telecaster is a bold new addition to the Fender family tree, a top-notch performer that can handle whatever music you might you throw at it. Includes a redesigned Elite Molded Case with TSA locks to provide increased protection for your cherished instrument.

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Thinline Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

What can I say...this IS the expensive originator, not a cheap imitator! The guitar sounds and plays great! Yes, it's expensive, but when you've played the rest, buy and play the best!

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Thinline Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I went to my local Guitar Center to buy a speaker cable and John Russ of the Virginia Beach store told me about this guitar. I didn't have time to play that day, so I returned about a week later when I did have the time. Unfortunately John wasn't there but DC helped me with it. This is now my favorite guitar. The tone is crystal clear and it almost plays itself. Add to that how light it is and now I have the perfect guitar. If you aren't in the market for a guitar, don't play this one because you will instantly be in the market. What a fantastic guitar!

      Fantastic Telecaster!

      By Joe

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Thinline Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I didn't buy this guitar through Guitar Center. I actually bought it at the Fender factory last week. I was in LA for a conference, and went to Corona for the factory tour, hoping to get to play one of these. I had planned to buy one ever since I saw them introduced at NAMM. Coming in, I was a little skeptical about the new pickups and new bridge on the new Elite Thinline. I couldn't find any YouTube videos of the new Thinline being played. While trying it out in the Fender Visitors Center, I played it through a '68 Deluxe Reverb RI. It sounded fantastic. The new N4 Noiseless pickups are a big step up from the N3's, in my opinion. I A/B'd it against an American Deluxe Thinline with the N3's, and there is a noticeable difference. The N4's are much more alive, more responsive. However, they're also a little noisier. As far as looks, this guitar is beautiful. I got the natural finish, and mine has an especially pretty top with a lot of unusual grain patterns. No cosmetic flaws that I can see. I do think the new suspension bridge helps with sustain. This guitar has the most sustain and resonance of any tele I've ever played. It just rings. Again, the pickups sound fantastic. I especially like the middle position with the S1 switch engaged. You get very close to a humbucker sound. The neck is very comfortable, with the new C-to-D compound neck shape. I can't say I really noticed a huge difference between this neck and the American Deluxe. The compound radius fretboard is very nice, with no playability issues. The action on mine is very low, and there's no buzz that I can appreciate. Stays in tune very well. I've only had this guitar about a week, but I've been playing it quite a bit and have absolutely no complaints or regrets. At home, I play it into a '65 Deluxe Reverb RI Wine Red Limited Edition through a Tube Screamer, and it is the exact tone I'm looking for.
