The American Elite Telecaster is the original solidbody electric guitar reimagined for the modern guitarist who needs more from their instrument. With its stunning style, easy-playing performance and flexible sound that matches any playing situation, this Tele was made to tear it up on stage or in the studio.

Featured on all American Elite instruments, the new 4th generation Noiseless pickups are only available in this series, and represent a quantum leap in pickup design. Combining authentic, vintage-style sound with effectively noise-free performance, these are the pinnacle of Fender’s noiseless pickup designs, generating sparkling cleans and fat, overdriven tones that scream with pure rock ‘n’ roll power.

Engineered for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck with a 9.5”-14” compound radius fingerboard is ideal for all playing styles. A modern “C”-shape at the nut, the profile morphs along the length of the neck to a modern “D”-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics.

Locking, all short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the bone nut for buzz-free performance. The truss rod wheel is positioned at the butt end of the neck for easy accessibility when adjusting neck relief.

Fender is renowned for head-turning style, and this guitar is no different—from the refined ergonomic rear contour that hugs the player’s body to the black chrome headstock logo and large pearloid fret markers this instrument will dazzle the audience with elegant style. The American Elite Telecaster is a bold new addition to the Fender family tree, a top-notch performer that can handle whatever music you might you throw at it. Includes a redesigned Elite Molded Case with TSA locks to provide increased protection for your cherished instrument.

I am now the proud owner of one of these fantastic guitars. My wife surprised me with one of these in Autumn Blaze for our 10th anniversary. She worked with my oldest friend to determine what my ultimate guitar would be. She knew that I used to have an American Standard that I sadly had to part with a few years back and that I lusted after the '59 Tele that her grandfather has. Other than that all she knew was she wanted to get me a guitar that I wouldn't have to modify or work on as soon as I got it. My main guitar before this was a mim Strat plus top. A good guitar but I had to do a lot of work on the neck and frets to get it almost close to the playability of the American STD Tele. Then, I replaced the bridge PU, tuning keys, and plug. I also rewired it to run the neck and bridge together trying to get right tone. I tend to be cautious about how much money I am willing to spend and I accept that sometimes quality suffers.
This Elite Tele is by far better than I would ever have expected. I would have never spent this much but having not had to make that decision I can honestly say it is worth every penny. The attention to detail is exquisite. There are no frets that even pretend to be sharp or not perfectly shaped. The edges and lines are perfect. I could probably spend all day inspecting it and not find a flaw. The Autumn Blaze color is beautifully unique. It definitely stands out without looking out of place. The playability of this thing really surpasses even the American STD that I had. It is super comfortable and smooth. I really love the 4th generation noiseless PU's. Playing this thing on my '61 Bassman is really just insane. Clean, this thing just rings clear as a bell and overdriven it sounds great with a light overdrive as well as all-out crunched. The added S-1 switch was a nice surprise. It adds an extra oomph to the middle position. Going from the MIM Strat to the Elite is like trading in a Taurus for a Cadillac.

I played an elite at a local store, but all they had was the butterscotch. I bought a cherry burst online. I couild swear it's an entirely different model. The neck and frets are ok, but not as sweet as the store model I played. And the pickups are very generic sounding and none of the positions have a classic Telecaster sound.

The elite Stratocaster is pretty nice. Versatile sounds and sounds like a Strat. But this Tele... they phoned it in. I must have played a dozen YouTubes of this guitar, mine sounds like none of them. I'm probably returning it.

My new go-to guitar...excellent

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I have now used this new 2017 Tele elite for both recording as well as live performance. This has now become my go-to guitar. I get a great traditional tele sound through a fender deluxe amp, but I could also go with just the bridge pick up with high distortion amp and it really screams. The new 4th generation noiseless pickups are outstanding, much better than 3rd generation. I'm a disciple of compound radius fretboards, I have one on my Les Paul, & like this one even better (Larger frets). Everything else about this guitar kills and can't believe how great it guitar plays and sounds. Highly recommend it!

I've been playing a strat with the 3rd generation noiseless pickups for quite a while, and they have worked ok for me, but I really love thes n4s. Much higher output and a classic fender sound. My cherry burst tele is now my #1 for gigs. I love the neck profile and light weight

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I traded two re-issue vintage telecaster's ('52 and 62') to down size my collection (with a few added incentives) to get this incredible guitar. Although I have a re-appointed Jimmy Page LP (c. 1995) and a re-issue '57 stratocaster, This has been my "go to" over the past month. I can get the '52 tone through a tube amp or switch to a humbuker sound with the push S1 option to mimic a LP. The neck took a couple of days to adjust to but now playing on it is like butter. My first tele was purchased in 1982 and I have owned 4 since then. This one is the best and will stay with me for good!

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I traded a nice MIM Tele a few months back and have kind of been regretting it, so I had kind of been looking around for a new one, but wasn't really in a hurry. Anyway, I walked into GC to buy some strings yesterday and stumbled across this and had to pick it up. I was instantly hooked. The price tag didn't exactly jive with my wallet so I left the store for a while, but couldn't stop thinking about it, so I did some math... sold a kidney and went back! Long story short, I played a 3 hour show a few hours after leaving the store with it and was blown away by how well it performed all night. The tone is fantastic and I was skeptical because I had tried an earlier version of the Noiseless pickups (I believe a lot of people referred to them as "Toneless") and was not very impressed. The N4's sound killer (IMO) and the cut-away on the back made it very comfortable to play for long stretches. If you can afford one, buy it!

Comments about Fender American Elite Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I purchased mine at the Guitar Center in Canton, Michigan. Prior to purchasing the American Elite Tele in butterscotch, I was the proud owner of an American Standard from 09'. I had no intention of purchasing another Tele when I entered the store. My intent was to demo a Jazzmaster. I saw this American Elite on the wall and I had to give it a shot. If nothing else, I wanted to prove to myself that my seven year old American Standard was basically the same guitar. I was immediately impressed with the weight and the feel. The cutaway was smooth and I liked the feel of the neck. Of course features like locking tuners and strap locks are nice, they are not what sells the guitar. This guitar sold me on feel alone. It fit me far better than I would have ever imagined. I bought it. When I arrived home I plugged it into a Mesa Trans-Atlantic TA-15. I was able to eek out so many different sounds and tones. I rifled through some of my favorite tunes and realized I had hit the jack pot. The pick ups are lively and expressive. Full disclosure, I have only played guitar for ten years. I play in a band and we play at local bars. Some originals, and some covers. I am probably a mediocre guitarist at best, but I am always working to improve. I believe this guitar will move me forward.

I can't thank Ryan at guitar center in Flint Michigan enough for his patience with me. I started by playing a 52 reissue. I loved the sound but it didn't meet my playing needs. Ryan then encouraged me to play the elite. Best free advise I have ever gotten.
