Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Thinline:

This is an amazing guitar. It is beautiful and has great tone. This thing is light as a feather. I love the telecaster twang that I can get from this thing. The noiseless pickups are great and the S-1 switch gives you a lot of tonal options. This is a high quality guitar. Love it!!!

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Thinline:

Guitar setup and intonation dead on, right out of the box!! Sounds amazing, absolutely quiet single coil pickups. Great twang clean, or using overdrive. The S1 switch is understated, it turns the 2 single coils into a Humbucker, which adds an amazing alternative tone. Very light weight, easy to play. This guitar Flat out Screams!!!!

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Thinline:

I purchased this guitar from a Guitar Center in Lynnwood WA a few years back. I wanted to add a solid body electric to my collection and it was between a Tele and a Les Paul. I wanted something kind of unique so decided on this guitar. Plays really nicely, good tone options, and looks really cool!

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Thinline:

This guitar arrived well setup and ready to play. The craftsmanship is absolutely perfect. I only had to slightly raise the knob on the volume pot to clear a bit of static electricity.

My guitar is a beautiful natural finish with an elegant tortoise shell binding around the body. I showed it to a custom luthier who works on my guitars and he said "That's pretty!".

I was led to this purchase by the astounding Squier Telecaster Thinline, which is the best cheap guitar I have ever played. After owning it for awhile, I wondered what the high-end Thinline might be like. I got the Tele Thinline Deluxe and played them side-by-side. The Squier has a slightly woodier and more diffused sound than this guitar. The ash body on the Deluxe Tele Thinline is tighter sounding and more focused. Also, the bridge increases sustain on the Deluxe. And, of course, overall craftsmanship and quality are substantially better on the Deluxe. The neck is fabulous, perfectly angled and finished.

The F hole adds a bit of air to the sound of the Thinline Deluxe, but it is subtle. Still, I can get a compelling jazzy sound by rolling down the tone and volume a bit and playing with less force. If you play hard you get the characteristic Tele "Quack", a great sound for country, blues, and rock but less so for classic jazz. Heavier strings would change that quality, but I LIKE being able to change the sound and feel of the guitar mid-song. It is more expressive to me.

The N3 pickups are bright and clear, a great Tele sound without as much hum and noise. The middle switch adds punch and volume when the button that combines both pickups in series is depressed.

It is clear to me that this is the best that Fender can make without starting to add extras that really don't enhance the guitar: custom finishes, relicing, hardware bling, etc. Who needs them? Not me.

I am now the proud owner of the best guitar that Fender can make.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Thinline:

Fender, The name speaks for itself. I own a number of Teles and Strats.I had an American deluxe prior to this one but sold it. Was a very foolish move on my part. Did same thing with a 70s thinline Tele.I seen this one at the local music store, tried it out and fell in love with it right off. It`s a top end instrument and that`s all i buy. The low end guitars can`t compare, but then again you do get what you pay for. I wont go into all the technical reasons why this a great guitar but it is. Fender has hit another home run with this ax. Buy one if you can . You will certainly be glad you did.
