Unbelievable Guitar - Has Become My Personal Favorite!!

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I bought a 2014 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster from The Guitar Center (3 tone sunburst, HSS, maple neck). Ordered and had it delivered to the store. When I picked it up, it was absolutely perfect. Note that mine has the Atomic Humbucker in the bridge and as a rock player, I absolutely love it. Very similar specs as the JB and it works great in this guitar. Please understand, I have a 1991 Les Paul Classic, a USA Jackson Soloist, a Fender Eric Clapton Strat and a PRS Custom 24. I have also owned a Suhr Classic Pro, a Charvel San Dimas and an Ibanez RG Prestige. The Fender American Deluxe Strat is by far my #1. If I could only have one, this would be it. Play through a few Marshalls (50 Watt Plexi, JCM 800, 6100 and Jubilee 2555) with Greenbacks. So what is so great about this guitar: Neck - Compound radius plays like a dream. No fretting out. Smooth. The wood is so smooth. The modern C is rounder than my Jackson Soloist and not as thick as the Clapton Strat. So comfortable. Also, where the neck joins the body, the wood is cut in such a way that when you access higher frets, your hand fits perfectly. So nice! Nut, Bridge, Tuners - The LSR roller nut, coupled with the locking tuners and two point tremolo bridge work amazing together. Touch sensitive and stays in tune. Not quite as stable as the Floyd on my Jackson when you dive bomb, but much better than the 6 point vintage bridge on my Clapton. Pickups - The N3 are pretty good for noiseless pickups. The Atomic bridge is hot and reminds me of the JB in a Strat. For what I do, it is really good. Not the most balanced because of the output of the Atomic. S1 Switching - adds so much versatility. Puts various pickup combinations in series. My personal favorite is with the S1 engaged, in position 1, the bridge and middle are in series. It is HUGE and smooth. Use this combination with a TS808 in front of a JCM 800. Unbelievable! Please don't spend over $3k for a guitar before you try the Fender American Deluxe. There are multiple color options, can get a rosewood or maple neck and either SSS or HSS. For me, it absolutely kills the Suhr, Ibanez and Charvel. I much prefer it over the Les Paul and PRS too. The Clapton Strat and Jackson SL1 Soloist are comparable, but my #2 and #3 respectively. Hope this helps.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I was always a Gibson guy. For 30 plus years I would not touch a Fender - they felt "cheap". But those were the "old" days...

Once I purchased my Fender Deluxe American Stratocaster, wow! I was hooked! No Gibson - at any (ridiculous) price could match the feel of playing my Strat!
The variations of sounds that you can get with the pick-up selection and tone button are fantastic!

I am never going back to a brick of wood with two pickups and no wammy bar again!

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I´m still a beginner, but this is my 5th guitar. I own a 2013 American Standard Telecaster, a 2015 Gibson SG and two Squier Strats. This one is a brutal quality upgrade over any of them. The finish, the general feeling, the playability, the tuning, the looks, everything about this guitar is awesome. I loved the comfort of the neck's compound radius. You can also abuse the tremolo bar, and the LSR Roller Nut keeps the strings in tune. I can´t say much about tone, as I´m not yet qualified, but I like versatility of the two extra switches. I´m very much in love with my Strat.
