The Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS is for guitarists who want a little more. A compound radius fingerboard allows effortless string bending anywhere along the neck, and two N3 Noiseless pickups provide improved Stratocaster tones while the DH-1 humbucking bridge pickup has more output for fatter lead tones; all with no hum. Reconfigured S-1 switching offers other distinctive tonal options.
The "passing lane" switch instantly routes your signal from any pickup position to the bridge position with the tone circuit bypassed, giving you more overtones and a little more volume. Other features include staggered locking tuners, LSR roller nut, two-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and beveled neck heel. Includes case.

This is a great stratocaster and i've owned several. The refinement of the deluxe necks, the fretwork and tonewoods that go into it are really top notch. I have this guitar in white, with the N3 pickups and Humbucker in the bridge. I'm "mister vintage" when it comes to tone and guitars, but I find myself using this deluxe in live performances more than my other guitars due to it's versatility of tones, precision of play and it stays perfectly in tune when using the whammy bar. I don't have to change guitars as much when using this. The rosewood on the fretboard is top notch, and the frets are as perfect as my PRS. But this strat has more soul than the PRS. I did replace the bridge humbucker with a seymour duncan '59 and it's significantly more clear than the stock one which has a dark tone. It's almost too bright now so I would recommend not to mess with swapping it out (the stock bucker). Make changes to your amplifier instead. Pick a good one where the frets are perfect, i have played some that aren't as perfect. I think there are ALOT of good ones out there though, that play like mine, super smooth. Here's a tip on keeping it in tune, I do not use the locking tuners. I don't lock them down, I keep them loose and just string the guitar like other strats without locking tuners. The strings just glide through the lsr roller nut, it stays in tune throughout the show.
This guitar sounds amazing. The noiseless single coils don't sound like classic single coils but to me they are better in a good way. The neck feels like glass. The locking tuners are fantastic to. The "passing lane" switch is perfect as a solo boost. The s1 switch sounds cool in the middle position with all 3 pickups. Having the humbucker in the bridge makes this one of the most versatile guitars you can buy.
