Overview

The ash Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster gives you the distinct grain pattern and spanking tone of an ash body, with all the cool specs of the new American Deluxe Stratocaster. A new compound-radius fretboard makes string bending exhilaratingly effortless anywhere along the neck.

New Fender N3 noiseless pickups supercharge your sound with improved Stratocaster tones for sparkling bell-like chime with no hum. Reconfigured S-1 switching offers even more knockout tonal options. Other features include staggered locking tuners, a 2-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and a beveled neck heel. Fender includes a molded Fender-exclusive SKB case with glass-reinforced latches and TSA locks, cable, and strap locks with the American Deluxe Strat.

Fender N3 Noiseless pickups
N3 Noiseless pickups deliver the best of yesterday and today, because they deliver landmark vintage Fender tone and response without the hum that can plague single-coil pickups. Using an improved stacked coil-coil design, N3 Noiseless pickups are specially tailored for each Stratocaster and Telecaster pickup position. The insulated metal core of each pickup position type differs in thickness and composition for enhanced tone, and Fender has fine-tuned the sized, shape, and wire gauge of the coils to balance the magnetic responsiveness essential to great tone. N3 pickups represent a welcome return to the warmth and clarity of alnico magnets. An Alnico 5 magnet is used in the bridge position, Alnico 2 in the middle position, and Alnico 3 for the neck position. Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Unbelievable Guitar

By Samuel Owen

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

Just went to the States for vacation, not intending to buy a guitar, but stopped into West L.A. and talked to Brian (awesome dude) and spotted the Tobacco Sunburst with maple fretboard. The tonality that comes out of the switching and Ash body are astounding. Once I heard the guitar I had to have it. I have not been disappointed. It has a nice honey tone to it, and when the S-1 switching is engaged it is like a different instrument. Setup is perfect and fast. The satin neck configuration on the solid maple neck is the icing on the cake. Well done, Fender... Thanks Brian...

I'm stunned

By Andrew Shin

from Indiana

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

I got the Tobacco Sunburst with Rosewood. It sounds amazing. I was deciding between the new 2012 American Standard Strat and this, but it wasn't even a fair competition! Don't get me wrong the new American Standard is great, too. But when comparing it side by side, the Deluxe Ash is definitely worth the extra money. The tones are what you expect out of Strats: very articulate and bright. But at the same time, the attack of the notes are very sweet. With the S1 switch, I almost don't need my Les Paul anymore. It gives a humbucker like tones that gives the guitar incredible versatility. The biggest thing I was worried about is the compound radius fretboard, but I didn't really notice it much. but it is definitely easy to do chords down low and go fast up top. And did I mention that it is just beautiful. I mean, it is properly beautiful that I'd be worth every dollar even if you just hang it up on your wall and use it as a decoration.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

I got this one used, a 2013, it had a few scratches and some small chips but other wise in pretty good shape. Don't know why people don't take better care of their instruments? Sounds terrific, with 10 different tonal configurations, the S1 switching does make it a more versatile guitar for me. I was a bit skeptic about the noiseless pickups at first but I think they sound pretty good and I like quiet guitars on stage. The action is great but it needed the intonation adjusted a tad and I lowered the middle pickup a bit so I can finger pick better ( I do a lot of that ). Playing it through my '81 Princeton Reverb at home sounds sweet, warm enough for Jazz and raunchy enough for Blues, can't wait to try it out next weekend through my DRRI with some friends at a jam. I've owned a few other Strats over the years, and sold them for one reason or another. Strats are not my main guitar but they do a good job covering allot of music and I been thinking of getting another one. So I got this one used for a good price, I think it's a keeper.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

It's a Strat Deluxe. It does everything it's supposed to. 2 things set this apart though: 1) The sick finish, and 2) The S-1 Switch. The S-1 is the real deal. Untouched versatility.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

can sound like just about anything you want, paint job on this is fantastic, i've had it for a while now, and like every other guitar it gets banged up, but the paint doesn't seem to scratch off of this one. Its great for blues and rock, and is better than any other american stratocaster, and is a great guitar overall.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

What a beautiful instrument to match the equally beautiful sounds. I bought the Tobacco Burst and agree that it is worth the price just to look at it. The fact that it sounds beautiful throughout it's range is an added bonus. Short review...I'm back to playing it. Bought in February, 2015.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash Electric Guitar:

I had to return this item, the tone knob was stripped and there were a few nicks and scratches on the base. Apparently this was a model on the floor that was played by many in the store, it was not a brand new guitar of which I thought I had purchased.
