Fantastic, but...

By Kim Morgenthaler

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic SFX II Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for about eight years. I play a Martin DCME behind a female vocalist. The guitar sounds as if it's perfectly miked in a studio! She loves her vocals thru it as well. We use just a little of that unmistakable Fender reverb, and get a smooth, full sound. Great vintage vibe too. I had the same problem as Rex (well put, by the way)...it would periodically partially cut-out, and a wierd tremelo-like flutter would be very audible. Fender couldn't explain it, and had me take it (under warranty at the time) to an authorized service center. Naturally, it didn't do it for THEM! Aughhhhh. Frustrated at one rehearsal, I gave it a good fist pump to it's left side. (Glad it didn't use spring reverb!) It did the trick. It sounds fantastic, and has never failed at a gig. The side projecting speaker is brilliant. It's been enough to fill a good sized banquet room, and even small outdoor gigs. The three button footswitch, control panel, RCA L/R inputs are all incredibly perfect! A second XLR input jack would be nice for this duo, but an XLR-1/4 adapter works for the second mike. If I hadn't experienced that flutter thing, I'd give this amp SIX stars! Fantastic sound!

A must try!!

By Pete

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic SFX II Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I was looking for an acoustic amp that will mainly reproduce the sound of my guitar accurately as possible, and went to as many stores as it took till I tried about all of them. The Acoustasonic SFX ii brought on a smile that I couldnۡt shake. I didnۡt realize how much I liked a stereo sound until I tried this amp. The side speaker projects a sound all around the room that I havenۡt heard before out of an amp. It will make your guitar sound actually better than what you hoped for. This thing gets loud too, my drummer is blown away with the volume it is capable of, makes acoustic with a drummer fun again. Vocals is warm and rich, and has separate affects on its own. This is a seriously professional amp. It would be nice if it were a tad lighter, but not at a cost of affecting the sound. Get it and don't look back.

One Sweet Amp

By Russ

from Gate City, VA

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic SFX II Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I am very critical when it comes to acoustical sound, and I expect a lot from an acoustical electric plugged in, so many amplified just sounded harsh to me. So I tried the Acoustasonic SFX 2 out and compared it to other popular acoustic amps and this one shined through hands down. The stereo effect on this amp is unreal, I played at a small party and everyone in the room said it had a stereo sound at any position in the room. Also has a very rich chorus and reverbs. Would be nice to have a little more control of the delay, but thatۡs not a big deal because Iۡm not much for delay on an acoustic. I plugged an SM-58 in this amp is was blown away on how good vocals sounded. It is worth the extra $$$ for this amp. Do your self a favor and save your extra pennies for this one.

Great, but...

By Rex

from salt lake city , utay

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic SFX II Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for almost five years. I've gigged with it several times and it always had enough power to do what I needed. The trouble is that it makes noise, a fluttering sound, sometimes after it has been on for a while. No one seems to be able to fix it. I thought I had it fixed, but it started up again. I'm going to try to get it replaced before the warranty runs out.

The amp I was missing...

By mbrown817

from League City, TX

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic SFX II Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a must have to complement any guitarists lineup. I play a Mesa (custom stereo tube rig), 1962 Bassman tube, and an '80's Carvin tube amp for my solidbody guitars - and this fills the gap for my lonely acoustics - I've been missing out until now. It sounds delicious!!! Awesome amp! (p.s. This Fender Acoustasonic SFX II sounded better than comparable Roland, Marshall, and Bose systems in the store).
