Overview

The new Fender Acoustasonic 150 acoustic guitar combo amp is perfect for the acoustic guitarist who needs a light, loud, versatile, and flexible amp loaded with tonal innovations and useful features.

The Acoustasonic 150 combo packs full acoustic resonance and crystal clarity into a lightweight (only 23 lb.) amp with a new ultra-efficient 150-watt (2x75) stereo power amp, dual 8" foam-surround low-frequency neodymium drivers, and high-frequency tweeter. Its new Voicing control lets any guitar simulate the tonality of parlor, dreadnought, and jumbo acoustics. Or, Voicing can be turned off for pure amp output response. For acoustic players who double on electric guitar, the Voicing control also has Blackface, tweed, and British amp settings, which makes a second amp just for electric guitar unnecessary.

Other features include instrument and microphone channels with independent EQ and effects controls; new feedback elimination control with on/off switch for each channel; patented String Dynamics control that tames harsh treble notes; effects including reverb, delay, chorus, Vibratone, and more; XLR line out with level control and ground lift; stereo effects loop; USB connector for digital recording output (and possible future firmware updates); strong five-ply hardwood construction; and optional two-button effects-select footswitch.

I was waiting 4 and amp 4 both acoustic and electric guitar players. This is the amp that does just that. I play Latin jazz and also have problems with my feet due 2 diabetes. The thing their is that I can't carry heavy amps. I have a fender 212 DPS and a mustang 3 a whole tone 80 Ibanez and others but a bit on the heavy side. I wanted one amp that is light weight and 4 both so's not 2 carry 2 or more amps 4 the gigs. this amp is perfect 4 those situations. I like the features of the voicing, parlor, dred, jumbo 4 the acoustic side and tweed, british, blackface 4 the electric. I use the black face 4 the Jazz sound that Wes Montgomery had when he used a black face amp himself. I like the mike channel to sing at the house parties and coffee house type venues. I like the built in amp stand and 2 x 8 speakers to enhance the sound you dial in. This amp of 150 watts is loud enough 4 any stage and if not the D.I out will boost it to a P.a system no problem with a separate mic cable the stereo effects loop is good 4 any pedals/processors to sort of making them on board the amp although they aren't. if heaviness is your problem and don't want to carry more than one amp heavy or light this all-in-one will do the trick. And the sound is amazing/killer 4 my taste. If you don't have and amp of this type 4 both electric and acoustic guitars I suggest you try this and buy it if you like it after you've tried it. fender and guitar center came through 4 me thank folks.

I had this amp for less than a week before returning it. The mic channel for this amp has serious feedback issues. I tried several brands and types of microphones.(Shure SM58, Carvin M68). The guitar channel has an annoying high pitched harmonic distortion at any volume level. It may well be better suited for a solid body electric guitar. The light weight of the amplifier is a definite plus. But for acoustic solo perfomers, there are much better systems on the market than this amp. I have thirty plus years experience performing and recording. This amp did not meet my expectations for the Fender brand.

Great for playing acoustic electric, electric guitar, and vocals. The line out is a plus instead of mike the amp.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I had bought the Fender Acoustasonic 90 and found that it just wasn't quite enough amp, with just one speaker. Guitar Center was kind enough to let me bring it back with an in-store credit and move up to the Acoustasonic 150. Great tone and much fuller sound. I still think it feeds back a litter more than I expected in a small room. The only draw back that it is different than the Acoustasonic 90 is. The 90 has a MP3 input for a backing track, the 150 does not. Which to me, would make the amp next to perfect. Maybe next time, but I still love the amp. I just wish it had the MP3 input

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I really wanted to like this amp. What's not to like for a happy hr. acoustic rock trio right. I imagined walking in to a club with an amp instead of having to use my PA with just my handy acoustisonic. I ordered this used from GC but in new condition. I will state I may have got a lemon. So I plugged my Gibson songwriter deluxe with LR Baggs element in and at first it sounded acceptable at low volumes I loved the reverb deep and transparent the fx and compression but turn it up past 3 to stage volumes and the amp sounded thin and boxy. Very prone to feedback. Its supposed to be 150 watts but you cant turn it up past halfway. When turning around even with my sound hole plug in to adjust anything like you would have to do at the bar it howled thru any of the amp models I tried. Using the anti feedback button did help with feed back but gutted the tones you were working on...it took way to long to get something that might work. I unplugged. I then plugged directly into a cheap Ahlto ts10 powered monitor and got much better results right away...loud no feedback and with my pedal board plenty of tone. It doesn't make sense to have to fight for a decent tone and volume when this amps supposed to be designed for this use. I like the amp format but sticking with my QSC pa and personal monitor. Took it back & bought the monitor = happy acoustic rocker ;). JMHO.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I brought this amp in end of Jan./Feb and this thing makes my electric and electric acoustic wow this does not sing a sour note if you carefully no what you r doing and no how to set up an amp. You can use it in any venue or situation. Coffee houses, bars, church and wedding halls military vet halls vfw and like. The optional (69.99)footswitch is just to shut off the effects only I wish they made a cover 4 it so the weather snow-n-rain wont hurt it or prevent a dent and or scratch or pealing of the material of the amp. they meant what they said about a lightweight amp 22.5 lbs. so light my girlfriend can carry it. You can go either way and amp stand or on board tilt legs for optimal sound. This is so the people wont sponge your sound in a tight or small club/bar coffee house I recommend this 4 anything even singer song writers 2. This amp is the best in fender class to me 4 being an acoustic and electric guitar amp. Try it before u buy it. Trust a guy who has played and learned in/since 3rd grade and now 43 1/2 yrs. old. If you buy it enjoy yrs. of fun and happy gigging and playing guitar. Fender and guitar center finally did something right Fender 4 a nice amp and guitar center 4 selling it 2 me.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I heard good reviews and wow I went 2 my g-c in plan 2 get one .I played the display model and I got hooked i saw the acoustic brand and fishmans the marshals the rolands they looked and sounded nice and I said it is only 4 on world the acoustic guitar I thought hey I also play electric guitar 2. * wanted a lightweight amp to fit the bill. and this amp impressed me. this amp has the taste of both worlds it is suitable 4 both electric and acoustic guitars as well as a p.a. you needing go further this amp is all in 1 you don,t need to take two amps when this has it 4 both kinds of guitars it also works for other guitar like instrument like the greek bosouki a treble guitar( called a requinto in spanish) also a violin, mandolin banjo 12 string nylon classical ukelele lute archtop jazz guitar and the like 150 watts is loud 4 stage but if not use the line out on your p.a. mixer 2 to bring out the flavor of your sound or have the sound guy mix u in and the effects and controls r like seasoning on your steak but really your guitar so go to guitar center and check it out don't listen to me check it out yourself and see if I saw right.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I read the review and the positive one are what I go 4. This amp is the taste of both genders acoustic as well as electric. Wish they made one 4 all three acoustic, electric, and bass. An all in one amp as well as p.a. This works 4 two guitars a guitar and mic an electric arch top jazz guitar is what my use will be as well as my ntx 700 nylon plus my epiphone dot and my soon to be modified s1o1 copy of an L5/super 400. I own a wholetone 80 by Ibanez which is a little more in weight than this I have a foot ucler from diabetes and the lighter the better and 4 the purpose of not carrying an extra amp. I have a crate acoustic amp and it needs repair and it will be fixed as a back up but this the amp I will get to use instead of my heavy amps. to gig and to go amp. This is the one to get if you do not want to carry two amps one 4 electric and another 4 acoustic.

Exactly What I Expected (and wanted)

    By

    from Philadelphia

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 150 150W 2x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought the acoustasonic after doing some research into acoustic amps, and I kept finding good reviews for the acoustasonic. However, there were some negative reviews that I found that gave me some pause. However, when I got it home and started to play with it, I absolutely loved it. The acoustic guitar sounds great. The different settings provide a nice choice of sounds and options - some better than others - but overall, a nice variety of possible sounds. I read some reviews that complained that the high end is too strong and it screams (distorts) at high volume. I have not found that to be the case. The high end can be adjusted with the EQ and voicing controls. The effects are great. The reverb and delay are beautiful and balanced. As for vocals, they are clear and crisp. The problem with a lot of these types of amps is that having two things coming out of one amp can result in muddled sound. That does not happen with this amp. The vocals are clear, and the effects add a nice color to vocals if you choose to use them. Overall, I am so happy I decided to purchase this amp. Plus, it is crazy light for the size and power. This is well worth the money and then some
