I have always appreciated the sound of nylon/tapewound bass strings...I was pleasantly surprised with my recent purchase of Fender 9120's...I normally buy either D'Addario or "Roto's" even though the price always made me cringe...I decided to give the Fender strings a try when I saw them on sale at G.C. Overall, the 9120's rival any other brand of tapewound strings and beat the price of all others, even when not on sale. They have a warm, even tone; and provide everything one expects with this type of bass string...Work great for jazz, classic rock, prog...Not recommended for those into heavy metal or more "modern" rock. Try them...You'll thoroughly enjoy the feel and the new voice they produce. Oh, they look great on most bass guitars, as well.!
These strings are great! They are quiet (for those who don't care for the sound of finger slide. They have a deep, rich sound with great resonance.
If you are tired of the same old buzz rattle of your bass, you should try a set of these great Fender 9120m strings. They are great for any type of genre. I am currently using these on a Fender Jazz Bass Special and they sound great. The bass has a set of active pickups and these strings sound warm when needed and bright when I need them to be bright. Easy on your fingers too. This is probably my 10th set or so. I have another Jazz bass with regular strings and this one with the Fender 9120's feels and sound the best!Give yhem a try. You won't regret it!
