Comments about Fender 3250R Nickel-Plated Steel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings -:

I have been playing guitar since 1979. I have used lots of different brands of strings and types of strings ie - Nickel Plated Steel, Pure Nickel, Hex Core, etc... Years ago Fender had an advertisement in all the guitar mags which showed the inside of their Stratocaster tremelo block and how the bullet ends fit the tremelo block like a glove. The bullet ball ends not only seat properly but they have substantial weight which I believe helps increase sustain as there is more surface area with the bullet ends touching the string slots/holes than regular ball ends. It also makes sense to me that when using the Stratocaster tremelo the bullet ends help keep the instrument in tune because they don't change position like regular ball ends may do when the strings return to pitch. Hey, anything that aides in tuning stability is worth using in my opinion. The feel of the Fender 3250R Super Bullets are very similar to any other brand of Nickel Plated Steel Guitar Strings. Besides that, Fender designed these strings specifically for their Stratocaster guitars. I really like them and would not use anything else on my Fender Stratocaster.

I put new strings on my USA Strat and heard buzzing. They weren't bullets. I put super bullets back on and the buzz went away. They feel good they sound good.

Hey you music hounds out ...

    By Carl Reynolds

Comments about Fender 3250R Nickel-Plated Steel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings -:

Hey you music hounds out there! Give Guitar Center a shot at setting you up with some gear! I also asked if they traded used pedals towards a new pedal and, yes I walked out with a new distortion pedal!! Strings are the lowest around town and in stock. These 3250 nickel plated steel wound fender strings really sound good with the bullet ends (more surface touching the tremolo) and steel is stronger and less likely to break on a large bend and the sound is a little stronger on the pickup I've been playing 30 plus years and tried many string types and this is what I buy!!! I like regular gauge .10-.46 but the choice is yours =JamMan= play till I drop......

Dig the instruments so I am trying out the strings!

    By Kyle Covey

    from Parker CO

Comments about Fender 3250R Nickel-Plated Steel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings -:

I have played Fenders for quite a while now. I have tried numerous brands and gauges of strings, but decided to give my guitars namesake strings a whirl. I know that Fender has a lot of posted claims for their Bullets, and Super Bullets in relation to how they give more mass contact in a tremolo bridge than ball end strings. In all honesty, I can't tell much difference. What I can say, is that they sound great and feel really good. We will see how long they last/stay brilliant, but I am not disappointed in my purchase.

    Nickel is a Winner!

    By Alfred Hardaway

    from Clarks Summit, PA

Comments about Fender 3250R Nickel-Plated Steel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings -:

The reason I tried these strings (3150R) was because i bought a Telecaster (Baja) in 2007. I read about fret wear being less because it matches the alloy in the frets of new Fender guitars, in comparison to steel strings. Therefore there is the hope it offers less wear and tear on the frets. I had also had problems with the Telecaster 'icepick' sound on the bridge pickup. These strings softened the icepick sound I was getting with steel strings. They last for up to 4-6 months. I think the Tele and nickel string combo is a winner for me. My attitude towards Fender strings changed after this, so I tried the bullets on my Strats. Guess what they were even better with tremelo dives and resistance to detuning. But I thought the pure nickel really affected the sound I got. I like the biting sound from steel strings (GHS Boomers, 10-46) on both a 1970 Stratocaster and a Lace sensor stock equipped 1990 Strat Ultra, so I choose the nickel-plated (3250R) steel strings. Pure joy of sound from both. I had to get a refret on the '70 Strat in 2010, so it was a good move to use these strings to avoid fret wear.

    Great Strings!

    By Steven Musha

    from Oshkosh, WI

Comments about Fender 3250R Nickel-Plated Steel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings -:

I've started using these in both my American and MIM Strats instead of the Regular Slinkys I had been using for years. Don't know if the bullet ends really make more contact surface with the tremelo like they claim but I do notice a difference and improvement in tone and sustain - great strings. Try a set!
