Expected a little more

Comments about Fender 3 Guitar Case Stand:

The stand is fairly sturdy, however for the price paid I was expecting flawless quality and a little better performance. Unfortunately on the one I received the latches on the insert do not squarely line up with the lid, so when setting up the unit I have to add a little force to get the latches secured. Again for the premium price paid for this stand I would not expect this type of defect. There are a couple other things I've noticed since using it at my gigs. First, the sides of the fold-out piece merely rest in the base of the unit, so if you bump the lid, the sides move making it a little less sturdy than I would like. This leads to my next discovery, the top of the insert is fairly deep, and the slots for the guitar necks are not very long. When switching acoustic guitars during a set its very easy to pull the guitar and hit the top of the lid, possibly making the sides pop out of the base. You have to tip the guitar neck at almost a 45 degree angle and slide the base of the acoustic into the slot in order to keep from hitting the top of the insert with the body of the guitar. It's a little awkward but I'm adjusting to it. One final note, Fender ought to consider installing some sort of feet on the part of the case that sits on the ground when its open to help prevent the black vinyl covering from getting cut-up. Again, for the price paid I would have expected that to be on the unit.

Sturdy and classy, but, c'mon...$250?!

By Joshua Iverson

Comments about Fender 3 Guitar Case Stand:

The stand is decent. I have a bunch of G&G cases for different Fenders and have come to expect a certain level of inconsistency in the construction, but this case was really nice. But, think about what you're buying here. You can get 3 normal guitar stands that will take up less space and cost a fraction of what this thing costs. I can see the 7-guitar version being worth it for collectors or pros that constantly tour, but I play dive bars and this thing doesn't even fit on the typically small stages I play on. So, think about what you can spend $250 on that would actually be useful to your rig.

No Doubts

By David Greco

from New Castle, PA

Comments about Fender 3 Guitar Case Stand:

Obviously, the stand is pricey. However, if you've spent a great deal of money on your guitars this is an extremely well built product and the only type of stand that will better protect your prized axes from bumps, bruises, and falls. I was surprised by the weight/size/width, nearly 20lbs, wider than a briefcase, slightly thicker than a guitar case. The quality, craftmanship, and ease of use is 5 star, better than most guitar cases. Also, as an added bonus it looks nothing but pro and you can even place your fave beverage on the top shelf for easy access. All joking aside, I was very reluctant to spend this much dough on a stand advertised by Fender to hold EITHER 3 electrics OR 1 acoustic and 1 electric.....???? It left me scratching my head as it is a "3" guitar stand right?. So, i took a chance. I received my shipment, grabbed 2 PRS's and 1 Taylor acoustic and they fit beautifully with room to spare! Theres no doubt it can hold 3 standard depth acoustics if needed. Its been my pleasure to write this review. I would have loved to have known this stuff. Get it now, no worries!
