Product Information

Unleash the fury!

The Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster has been updated to be more like his current number-one Fender! Updates include a White /Black/White pickguard, bullet truss rod nut and machine screw neck mounting! This neck mounting method provides a better connection and overall tone transfer to the guitar body.

Like the original Yngwie Strat, this amazing axe features a solid alder body, modern "C" shape maple neck, and Yngwie's signature scalloped maple fretboard with Dunlop 6000 Super-Jumbo frets for a playing experience as fast as you are!

The pickups are all Yngwie tone, too! Neck and middle pickups are DiMarzio YJMs and the bridge pickup is a DiMarzio HS-3 Stack. Switch pickups with a 3-position blade and make it wail with the American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge. The brass nut provides a bright sound you can't get any other way. Made in Fender's Corona, California factory.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Best Strat Period

I own two of these and consider myself blessed by God to have them. In my opinion there is not a better guitar for playing blues out there. I am 44 years old and have been playing since I was 15. I have never played a guitar that has given me such control and power over bends and vibrato. This is why Yngwie plays the scalloped neck. The Scallops will not make you play faster or slower. I use Fender Super Bullet 10 gauge strings. Yngwie used 10's back in his early days as well. I have both a Sonic blue/maple and a Candy Apple red/rosewood. The red/rosewood does not have the world's tightest neck pocket, but it still is a top notch guitar. This one also has deeper scallops than the blue/maple one. These guitars can do anything you would expect a great strat to do, and do it better than others. The pick ups are low output and preserve the clarity of the original signal. They are hum canceling and have the best srat tones that I have ever heard. You will need to use an overdrive pedal like Yngwie's DOD YJM 308 or an Ibanez TS9 to boost the siganal if you you really want to rock. I play at my church which is a Calvary Chapel in the San Diego area. The music we play ranges from hymns to rock that borders on heavy metal at times. My two Malmsteens are the only electric guitars that I use, or want to use. I often thank Jesus Christ for blessing me with these guitars. I plan to use both of them to worship Him for the rest of my life. The Malmsteens are built like a tank and stay in tune. They are by no means cheap, but they are worth every penny.

Yngwie

I bought this guitar about a week ago and I totally love it. It stays in tune and the scalloped frets are amazing. Since I've bought it I have had trouble puting it down... which leads me to the only draw back. After playing this guitar for any amount of time good luck playing a guitar with a regular neck!

Great Guitar, Logical, non-emotional review!

I don't understand why the other reviewer claims you can't play blues on this guitar, I own three and have enjoyed the blues quite often just as Yngwie has. Contrary to popular belief, the scalloped fingerboard does not make you play faster or "shred", it simply allows you to bend strings easier. Playing this guitar requires a light touch or the notes will go sharp especially when chording. Cons are that it does NOT have a 5-way switch and one of my 3 came from the factory with badly unleveled frets to the point where it is unplayable in two spots and could not be leveled out by a Fender factory authorized repairman. Not to cool for a $1500 guitar!!!

greatest strat ever

this guitar can pretty much do it all. i heard people say that the only thing possible to play on this guitar is shred, but i played blues and classical just as well. the scalloped frets take a while to get used to but still rock. best of all, it mixes the tones of a strat and a les paul and that is a dream come true. buy it right now if you can afford it.

awesome instrument

If you want to play a very strong guitar, for heavey, hard rock, blues or fusion, this is the right instrument. Of course, you'd be carefull with the scallopped frets, but once you get used to them, well, trust me, you'll fly along the fingerboard. The neck, is perfectly balanced, and the picks, well, they speak for themselves. i recommend this instrument to who love play the guitar: the more you play it, the more, you'll play it. The price, is very low for a guitar of this kind. Simply awesome!
