  • A "decent" cable....

As reviewed by Shawn on 7/9/2009

Its definitely better than any off brand cable, but it still isnt as good as you would think. It does give some kind of carpet burn, and the lining of the cloth may start to kinda unravel through the years. It doesn't coil correctly, and I just dont think they are worth this much money. If you have no other choice, its not that bad of a cable, but I would prefer a Monster cable over this any day.

  • Another great product by Fender!

As reviewed by Jacob on 12/8/2010

I got this cable today at my local guitar store and the tone has improved very much from my usual cable. I think this cable even beats the Fender Platnum cable because with that you get buzz from time to time and with this you only get the music that your playing. So weather your a beginner or a rockstar I think you will injoy this cable very much.

  • Love 'Em! Vintage and Dulcet

As reviewed by Robbie on 10/13/2010

I've owned two of these 10 foot tweed cables for two years with great success & zero problems. I have to say, I've never noticed any of the negative features mentioned by other reviewers. They wind fine, don't snap or hum, and have always let my guitar and amp shine through. The fabric frays a tiny bit from being on the floor, but if you are going vintage, you will get vintage quirks. It's like your guitar relic-ing after years of playing. I run them from a Highway One HSS Strat into a CryBaby, a Big Muff, and then into my Orange Dual Terror half stack. I love them! They look great, and they sound great to my ear. I've always thought the instruments matter more than the cables. If you've not invested in good equipment, don't blame the cables; gold plated or not. A gold plated cable isn't going to make a Squier Bullet through a Line 6 solid state or whatever bad amp you run sound better. For heaven's sake, they are cables! Don't overthink it. If there is one piece of your rig you can buy purely for aestehtics, the cables are they. They sound fine and look amazing.
