I just bought this guitar from a private party (lovin' Craigslist!), and while I've only had it a few days now, it is a beautifully built instrument, sounds great as an acoustic and just as great through an amp. Solidly built and the built in tuner comes in pretty handy! It has bass, midrange and treble adjustments. Definitely lives up to my expectations from Fender.
In terms of the cosmetics, I'd rather have a basic black pickguard over the 'gold' color, and I'm not in love with the white edging. I love the chrome hardware tho' The blonde top is okay, and the back is beautiful! I am not a professional by any means, nor do I even perform in public so any cosmetics is purely for me, so while no one else would see the back, I do and I like it. I've been playing guitar since I was about 12 or 13yrs old, I had a Takamine 12 string from the time I was in High School till my late 20's or so when I lost it. Guess you could say it was stolen (long story). I've been looking for a new 12 string on and off for years and I'm more than happy that I found this one.
The sound is more important than cosmetics, tho and I have no quarrel with how it sounds! Well worth the price here, but if you can get a deal like I got, go for it. I'm sure you'll be pleased with this guitar.
