Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. Jazzmaster guitars slung across seminal shoulders. In the hands of both men, the sound of Sonic Youth is the sound of that guitar used as part paintbrush and part cluster bomb. If anybody ought to have signature Jazzmaster electric guitars, it's those two guys.
Special features of this Fender Thurston Moore Jazzmaster include two Seymour Duncan Antiquity II for Jazzmaster pickups, two-piece black anodized pickguard, American Vintage Jazzmaster tremolo with Adusto-Matic bridge and tremolo lock button, single master volume control, and a Forest Green Transparent satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and black-painted headstock, plus a Sonic Youth 'zine and sticker sheet.

This is a great piece for any one interested in getting an authentic indie sound. The pickups can be a bit bright for some users, but with a little bit of volume pot knowledge you can find dark, buzzy or overly bright tones in the guitar. The neck is one of the best I've played on. It has a light nitro/satin finish, large frets and can hold those strange tunnings that Sonic Youth is famous for. While this isn't the most versitle guitar I've ever played its simplistic design begs to be set to any strange configuration that you can dream up. This guitar comes highly recommended for anyone who has ever wanted to tinker with the sonic capibilites of the electric guitar and still be able to play more traditional sounds. Its distinctive, well built and an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
