Fender Super-Sonic amplifiers are the favorite tool of pro guitarists in many different musical genres who love to create glorious Fender clean tones, and expressive modern high gain tones—with one no-nonsense tube amp.

The Vintage channel on the 60W Fender Super-Sonic 60 tube amp head is based on two legendary Fender favorites, and the awesome Burn channel ignites musical inspiration with overdrive flavors ranging from bluesy to flame-throwing. The Fender Super-Sonic 60 amp head has been tweaked for increased bass response and fatter tone, and its heavily saturated tube overdrive and sustain can be fine tuned without masking the tonal character of your guitar. And by popular demand, the Fender Super-Sonic 60W amp head is available in two classic cosmetic treatments: Black/Silver, and iconic 1961 Blonde/Oxblood look with glorious ivory knobs and flowing Fender logo on each front panel.

The Fender amp head's Vintage channel contains pre-gain tone controls and two switchable voices, and the Burn channel contains dual gain controls and post-gain EQ, allowing tonal experimentation. Other features on the Fender Super-Sonic amp head include Ivory "radio" knobs; and a 3-button footswitch for Channel, Fat, Effects Loop. It mates perfectly with the Fender Super-Sonic 60 2x12 enclosure.

  • Better than Mesa!

    I was at Guitar Center a month ago and fell in love with this amp. I kept coming back until finally I decided to make a move. I put my Mesa Triple Rectifier on craigslist and went and bought this one. I don't regret it at all. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and just can't get over how great it sounds. It seems pretty durable but I haven't taken it anywhere yet. It's very versatile and I would recommend it over any other head under $3,000.

    I went from my Mesa Mark III head which was my only love, to this head after playing at my buddies' house when he had jut purchased this. I couldn't get over the classic tube tone it had that Fender has always supplied, while also being quite versatile. I've been playing guitar and bass in a jam band for quite some time now, and I run this through two 2x12 speaker cabinets as well as a Hammond Leslie. It is unmatchable. I can get an incredibly pure, tube tone, while also adding a heavy overdrive that is fat with sound and tone. I think it is very versatile and is a great choice for the not to expensive of a price.

  • Fender Super Sonic

    I've been a big Fender fan since my wee years in the 60's. I've owned and played through the Fender Super Sonic, Fender Twin, Super Reverb, Concert, Bassman & Bassman head, as well as a little Frontman 24R practice amp. The Super Sonic is reminisect of the early Bassman head. The vintage channel delivers the a sweet warm tone unrivaled by it's competitors. That tone is what I've used to define my sound. Although I don't use a lot of overdrive when I do look for a rippin bluesy sound I use the burn channel. I've used a variety of speaker cabinets with this head and never been disappointed. This is a great head that gives you true tube strength to bring your music to life.
