Genuine Fender special strap locks and buttons keep your favorite Fender guitar safe and secure. The set includes 2 locks, 2 buttons, 2 screws, and felt washers.
Pretty much every guitarist I know that actually moves around while playing has had that moment. And it's not a fun moment. The moment where the strap slips off the peg and you catch it on the way to the floor. Except, usually you don't catch it. For less than $15, you can make sure that never happens. I like the Fender system better than the other... just because. It's what I use and it's always worked for me. TRUST me on this. If you like your guiar the way it is, the two best accessories you can possibly have is a hardshell case and strap locks.
I installed this straplock system on my electric guitar, and it definately keeps it way more secure. I bought the silver, and it is the exact color of my former strap buttons! Definately a must have for anyone, especially if you have an expensive guitar.
I've tried EVERY strap lock out there. These are the same as the Schaller, so I don't know why GC has two different choices when you look them up. Here's the gist on strap locks. In my opinion there are only 3 valid choices: Fender/Schaller, Ernie Ball Super Locks, and DiMarzio clip strap. I've rigorously tested all other strap locks and they all broke with the exception of the Ernie Ball and DiMarzio clip strap. I don't like to screw the strap in my guitar and leave it there so I didn't keep the DiMarzio clip strap, but nothing works better for those of us who throw their guitar around. The Ernie Ball worked the best and had no problems whatsoever except sticking so far out of the guitar. I didn't really like it aesthetically. The Fender/Schaller are great because they have a secondary retention device, but require occasional tightening (hence 4 stars).
