Fender Standard Telecaster FSR Ashwith Vintage Noiseless Pickups Electric Guitar (502530)
Availability:

A limited run of a beautiful ash Telecaster without the 60-cycle buzz.

The Fender Standard Telecaster FSR Ash Electric Guitar combines the best of the old and new. Fender equips the Tele with vintage noiseless single-coil pickups, shielded body cavities, medium jumbo frets, cast/sealed machine heads, and a 6-saddle strings-through-body bridge.

Since its introduction in the early '50s, professionals in all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster for its powerful tone and smooth playability.

The vintage noiseless Telecaster pickups offer sound like a '60s Tele's without the 60-cycle buzz. They're made with the same Fender technology as the noiseless Strat pickups, but are voiced for traditional Telecaster tone. Special Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire along with Fender's Noiseless technology produce a uniquely quiet vintage sound.

The Fender Tele guitar's neck pickup has a nickel-silver cover for added clarity, while the bridge pickup produces the traditional twang you'd expect from a Fender Standard Telecaster. Each guitar pickup sports a very stylish Fender Noiseless logo.

New features on this classically cool Telecaster guitar include a tinted neck and a '70s-style logo. Fender includes a standard gig bag with the FSR Ash Telecaster.

  • Very Happy, great value !

As reviewed by Matthew on 1/18/2010

This is my first Tele and unless I spent 2x as much I don't think I could have gotten a better tele. The first time I played it, I couldn't believe the feel and sound comming from this guitar. From warm to biting. The neck is very smooth and fast, a thin U shaped wonder. The guitar arrived well packed and nicely set up. The only complaint I have is after three times playing it the chrome plating on the control plate started to curl off, I called GC and they sent me a new control plate within a few days. The guitar is about 8-8.5 lbs. It looks great, plays fast and Vintage Noiseless PU are hot. I may replace them someday with Fralins but they are very good for now. The pick ups take pedals very well. I play through a Hot Rod Deluxe or Carr Rambler and this tele sounds great out of either one. I will never sell this guitar, that should say it all. Buy this Tele you won't be dissapointed.

  • very surprised

I have always played American Strats and bought this Tele as a back up guitar. I have found it to be a solid guitar with plenty of tone variations and now instead of a back up to the Strat it has become an important part of my music. This is a very good piece for anyone from an amature to an avid player.

  • Ash FSR Telecaster

What a wonderful instrument! First guitar I've bought in 32 years & a very good choice. Plays like a dream & well-made,as anyone would expect from Fender. I recommend this particular issue to any serious player. Order soon as it's a limited run. One bit of advise,though-be sure to do a full set-up. Specs are on Fender.com under tech support. If you're not confident, have it done by a reputable tech. It is crucial on any quality instrument.
